Good at holding your money, but that's about it. They will lock your debit card without warning. They will do this for Microsoft, online retailers with a bank overseas, and just because. For example, just recently they locked my debit card without warning because of a "suspicious" transaction. I then found out about this after the call center closed on Friday so I had to wait all weekend, plus Monday for presidents day, to see what was going on. I called Tuesday mourning, get it cleared, try to use the card in the afternoon. Still locked. So I call back and get it cleared. Then I'm told that a notification was sent. Check my email, text messages, app notifications, and their website. Nothing. Won't recommend First Interstate Bank ever.

NEGATIVE ONE MILLION STAR"S!!!!!!!!!! We had been with Great Western Bank since about 2006 and liked it just fine. Since First Interstate took them over we have had nothing but trouble. Too many screw up's to mention here! All I can say is "RUN" from this bank! Horrific customer service, worse than any I have ever experienced. If I can ever get all of their mistakes fixed, we are closing our account ASAP and moving to a local bank! If you like super long wait times, and getting passed around to other incompetant people, and having your accounts all messed up, this bank may be the one for you!

Hey let me know when you decide to be an actual bank and do bank stuff that banks do. Two days now your ATM has been temporarily closed. Months ago I went through the Drive-Up you know because your lobby was closed at 5pm. I needed a cashiers check, but you don't do cashiers checks after 4pm in the Drive-Up. And then if there is a weekend holiday you close early on Friday. Who's ever heard of this? Completely ridiculous!

Go downtown to deposit my check after work. Google says business updated hours a week ago and they close at 6. I pull up at 5:31 to have a lady tell me with attitude that they close at 5:30 and its passed that and then gave me a condescending smile. Please update hours and customer service.

Every year someone steals money out of my secure account at this time of the year and every time it takes months literal months for my to get my replacement card that is so stupid. They closed my card November 9th it’s now December 15th and no sign of my card I think I’m going to have to close my account with your bank you guys seriously suck

Don’t waste your time rushing to town to do some weekend banking when you work all week and don’t have time. Says they are open til 1 just to get there and they’re all closed. Update your hours on google please. Such a waste of time.

So getting a new atm card has been hell. I spoke with them at the bank over the phone they said I had to into the branch. Went in because my old card expired in 2019 and always worked but never got a new one till yesterday after going in. Got the temporary card, got the number to call and get the pin set up. Called the system kept trying to ask for credit card information not atm information like a CVV code. So I called the bank again they said wait a a couple more hours. I waited the system still refused. I called told them everything waited about 20 minutes explaining everything a second time they said the forced a reactivation and to call again. I called the system still refuses. I am at my end with this bank. I want my money and to go some where else.

Very disappointed , the drive through downtown was closed this Saturday. Now I see they have shorter hrs. during the week also. closed lobby and now and our ability the access the drive through is restricted.Thats customer service. Let's make it even harder for our customers to do business with us.

Thee worst bank I have ever worked with. Scamming me every time I turned around. Their response: that’s not in our control. I would assume faulty systems and incorrect numbers on bills would be of a concern.

My daughter bought a car through a dealership in Wyoming and ended financing it through First Interstate Bank. THREE TIMES they were given our insurance information, which we had from day one and THREE TIMES they sent us letters saying that we were going to be charged for not having insurance. It's a racquet. We transferred the loan to our hometown bank, which we should have done in the first place. GOODBYE First Interstate Bank!

They reopened a closed account, overdrafted it $1500 then I found out after they sent me a letter showing the negative balance and several late fees on top of it. Employee at branch and customer service were rude and it took me countless hours to ‘rectify’, and I still had to come out of pocket to avoid collections. Worst bank I’ve ever had.
