I've liked to shop at Albertsons for several years. I am glad they make an effort to carry some more locally sourced meat an produce, and overall I feel their fresh foods such as those are indeed a lot fresher than big box stores. In addition during the last year that I was homebound being able to have groceries delivered and order online was a HUGE thing that brought back some freedom during my most disabled times.
However I am really frustrated and disappointed with some of their recent changes. While I understand the bars and gates they have implemented are likely to deter shoplifting, only one side of the store is now accessible to someone using a wheelchair, martkart, or walker as these mobility aids most often do not fit through the turnstyle type entrance put on the pharmacy side. Since I get my meds here this means having to go in the far side and then all the way to the pharmacy--a big deal for someone with limited ability to walk. Yes, I could go through the drive through but its good to walk when you can if you can manage the short distance.
Additionally, today I went with my wheelchair only to see there were no longer handbaskets which an associate confirmed. They offered to get me a wheelchair adapted shopping cat but as I pointed out to them those do not work for every person/chair. Because they no longer have a handbasket I can set on my lap I cannot shop for more than 3 or 4 items solo now and ended up buying less than I went there for.
I wish management would put more consideration into the consequences of their actions for ALL of their patrons not only those who are able bodied and the bottom line. Even if i had to request a handbasket when I went it would be better than having to change stores because I can only shop there if I choose to use their martkart or bring someone with me.

I feel like this is necessary to share since I spoke with the manager and then corporate and nobody ever called me back or tried to make this right. It’s been 2 weeks and still no word. Two weeks ago I was shopping with my husband when a cashier working there made a really bad joke to me about my arm. I was born without half of my left arm and the cashier out of nowhere made a bad joke that actually really embarrassed me about my arm. The girl bagging our groceries even laughed and I’m sure the people behind us in line heard as well. I think it’s wildly inappropriate that this even occurred but I also think it’s wild that Albertsons didn’t even get back to me to let me know what kind of action they would be taking about this. I wanted to let them know about this so that it hopefully doesn’t happen to someone else just shopping and minding their own business. Really bummed that Albertsons didn’t seem to care. Won’t be shopping here ever again.

Would of gave the store a 5, but while waiting for my $7 coffee at Starbucks inside, a couple of Albertsons dodos took up the only table while they were on shift, with their price guns on the table. Luckily, the gentleman behind the counter was fast.

Definitely need to look into a different cleaning company. Store isn’t looking up to par.

Found what I needed, prices were average, staff was helpful when I couldn't find something and store was clean.Sushi is very good from there, made fresh that morning, and a good verity. They will make whatever you want if you get there while they are making it. Sushi makers are really friendly and funny!

Always great deals. It's a little bit crowded down the aisles since they remodeled. It seems that they shortened the width between the displays gondolas.

The worst Albertsons in Billings don’t go store is dirty, help is none existent and the butcher doesn’t even want to wait on customers! Yuck
