I am completely frustated with A+! They don't listen. Care givers show up. No one tells me anything about it. I have had very rude caregivers and ones that sit here and do paper work or on the phone.

I started working for this company in June 2018. My job was a transportation and community integration worker. I previously had 18 years of experience as a Mental Health Intensive Case Manager and had recently retired. I wanted a job for about 20 hours a week. I usually did not get that many hours because I did not work on Fridays. I enjoyed working for A Plus. I knew some of the people who worked there already as I had contact with the company when I preformed my previous job. The work was easy to learn and the paperwork was a breeze! The only things I could see that needed attention on was the communication between employee, scheduler and client needs a great deal of work. As a driver, we had to use our own cars. We did get millage but it should be a little higher. Also, i think we should be compensated when we have to come from our home on the far west end of town to pick up someone in far away areas like the Heights as our first client in the morning. I understand however that Medicaid is strict on their rules. Sometimes, a client would cancel or not be home when we arrived and we didn't get a phone call to let us know that the client had canceled and we wasted our time and gas. I was able to work through this however, by just voicing to the schedulers that I required a phone call as I am very organized and not being notified caused my schedule to be confusing. After they got used to me the schedulers were pretty good about letting me know. Sometimes, the communication between the client and scheduler was poor and they double booked us but this did not happen often. A Plus was very accommodating with my schedule. They knew I kept Fridays open for my VA appointments but if I told them I wanted to work a Friday, they would find me some folks to assist. They were very caring and understanding when my 33 year old son became gravely ill and I had to go to Washington to turn off his life support. They were like my extended family, especially Yvonne, who just hugged me when I was weeping. If you take a job there, it is a busy environment and you need to express exactly what you will and will not do and make it clear how you would like your schedule to be if you have specific circumstances or if you are wanting part time. They will try very hard to be accommodating if they know what you need. If you meet a client and are not comfortable with that person, they are very willing to adjust your people. I found that almost all the clients were kind and just needed someone to show they cared. You have to let the client know what you expect from them and what you will and will not do. It is important to keep boundaries strong so as to not damage the client/caregiver relationship. if they understand the rules, they are normally compliant. Do not take a job with A Plus if you want everything to be neat and clean all the time unless you apply for scheduler. Clients are often disorganized and some are not very clean. Be sure if you are a driver, that you keep your car clean! if not, you could cause issues for sensitive clients or bring "critters" home to your own place. Except for the communication issues, I loved everyone there and will miss them.

A+....more accurate would be F-.I found this company to be appallingly unprofessional. Speaking of unprofessional, look at the reviews, all 5 star reviews that I read were from staff members...maybe paid reviews?I agree whole heartedly with everything I have read from the 1 star reviews.Tracey Von Schriltz is the manager and it is my opinion that she is an embarrassment to the company, unless you are looking for rudeness and a bully. According to Tracey, my standards are too high because I felt leaving p*** and a mold ring in the toilet, a latex glove on the floor and a wet rag in the bottom of the tub after their PCA had cleaned the bathroom was not acceptable. (This was only ONE issue with the housekeeping tasks) I did also address this with the PCA and her excuse was that she did not have her contacts in so she couldn’t see. Wow, and this person was also driving this client for Community Integration? How safe is that? Speaking of Community Integration, this PCA gets paid to leave the client in the car while she shops at the Dollar Store, comes late and leaves early? (Again, there were multiple other issues with Community Integration) This PCA also did not report a skin issue so that it could be appropriately treated to anyone, her own coworkers or family members. How bad is it supposed to get before it becomes a concern? Apparently it is also acceptable for Tracey, manager, and other staff members to use profane nouns when referring to their client and/or family members. (This also was only ONE example of unprofessionalism and rudeness) As a manager of a Fortune 500 company for 20 years, I find it very personally offensive to hear another professional using ANY profanity. (Oh, I forgot, she was trying to offend me...mission accomplished...although I bet you did not think I would find out. You never know who knows who and who is repeating what!) The scheduler, Tracey White also did not give out the warm and fuzzies. The PCA sent was a nightmare and a different PCA was not considered secondary to the unprofessionalism, rudeness, unwillingness to address concerns, sloppy work, unreliable, ill trained staff and general nasty attitude. This company was only used for a few months and no issues were resolved AND it is my opinion that they had NO desire to resolve any issues. In my opinion using this company was the worst experience of approximately 15 years of using home care. (The decision to use this company came with the hope of obtaining the PCA who worked for a company no longer providing Home Services-this option was, unfortunately, no longer available)I do have one good note, probably the only good thing I can say about this company: Ashley Baumberger is their nurse and she was knowledgeable, compassionate, kind, willing to listen, willing to act on concerns, professional, reliable and VERY MUCH APPRECIATED. Thank you for your good service. If Ashley leaves A+, this company will not have anything going for them. The decision to leave was a good decision as the health and well being of the client should be the main focus and in my opinion this does not seem to be the objective of this company. I definitely would NOT recommend using A Plus for in home care services.

They refuse to work with my son and my family giving excuses and claiming they are short staffed. This company is not worth working for or worth dealing with as well as not very professional on the phone with family members. To be told that your family is not of importance is so UNETHICAL, and I wouldn't recommend this place for anyone and for those who have choices it would be wise to pick someone else to go with as far as healthcare service.

The visiting staff were repeatedly emotionally abusive to a close friend, while there to help with cleaning and household tasks. This outfit needs to teach its staff to leave social work to trained social workers, stick to their scrubbing, and quit trying to tell people living with cancer and long term diagnosed mental disabilities how they think they should run their lives.(Note, it seems very suspicious that four 5-star reviews of this organization appeared within a week after reporting the way this organization mistreated my friend. )

One of their aides took to buy marijuana!! She still works there too!! They charged Medicaid for the time she was with me!! That’s fraud!! I did report it though? The other aide I had spent the whole time playing solitaire on her phone and was also eating. She was always up to 1 1/2 hours late. She also had to keep taking a cigarette break. They are so UNPROFESSIONAL!!! I don’t think they even deserve 1 star.

I had open heart surgery was signed on to A PLUS since 3/20/19.NEVER had a schedule been correct, changed weekly and continue 'll racing me w/out caregivers at much needed times.Have reported them to State & Federal regulators. For this program is "member" driven hours not " agency" driven hours.Meaning each member tells a homecare for Medicaid when they need & time they need a caregiver..not when it's combined for the agency.Yes..my first week had a girl show up 3 hours late stated when she walked in my door " I live in a shelter & my baby Daddy's in Yellowstone Jail...so that's why I'm late! Promptly advised her to leave immediately.I'm an RN of over 33yrs still working. In Management & Quality Assurance for Home Health. Hospice, Hospitals, Nursing Homes, worked for Dept of Health RN Compliance Officer.I worry about the others who don't say anything or scared too.Believe the gentleman in reviews when he wrote a "bad review"...those are the office people giving great reviews behind him! They play passive -aggressive behaviour with clients & field staff.Tracey VonShuhuiltz (Sp?) Manager here in Billings, MT is rude, unprofessional and seems not to care about her clients.Gets defensive & sharp with clients & hangs up on themover the phone.Never seen a Manager act like that in 33 yrs of Nursing. No not treated with dignity & respect at all.The community hears these reviews as well..being in medical business my friends all Nurses, Drs, Fireman, Police, EMS are seeing this happen to me as a friend...find being treated like " a bad client"..now every Friday & Every weekend they cut me short of staff...sometimes having no one to even show up or be on a schedule!!I'M A NEW OPEN HEART am limited on what I can do for myself. So at their mercy of caregivers....find it violates my patient rights which is Federally mandated. My family lives in Phoenix & Santa Fe & San Antonio so hard for them & myself.Thank God for my EMS friends & church friends.APlus just expects my medical friends to pick up my "Medicaid Contracted hours" they should be filling...to fill the gaps!!!They have work, families too to take care of.Wonder if they are charging the State my full hours??...now that's FRAUD.Be good consumers check this agency out here in Billings to make sure what they promise they can deliver!Chris Carlson CEO in Kalispell, MT though is a GREAT person & professional!!Cares about all her offices here in MT.Sure Helena, Kalispell & Bozeman work more efficiently than this Billings office. Thanks Chris for caring.Bravo to you.1ST LT. I have only worked with the company for a short amount of time, but it is easily the best in home care company I have worked for. The lengths they go to to ensure the comfort of employees and clients is amazing. I love the work I get to do and I love who I get to work for!

I have been with this company for a year and a half and although each company has things they can work on or incidents that happen that may not go exactly like anyone wanted.... I’ve never been a part of a business that works so hard to find level ground for all parties involved. They do absolutely everything they can to right any wrongs and attend to any issues one may have. I’m truly blessed with the people I work with and work for!
