Hands down the best equine vets in the area! Dr. Murad is wonderful. She helped me tremendously with a serious emergency injury to my gelding. Guided me along every step. She was upfront and honest. I value her advice so much. The staff is wonderful. Everyone is super helpful and kind. 5/5

A very nice vet facility. They did a surgery for us. All the workers were super nice through the whole process. Especially since we called them on Christmas day for help. Thank you for everything you tried to help us with.

I live out of state and used Dr Jael Lanham for a pre purchase. I was nervous as I've never used them before and I needed a fine tooth comb exam due to being a sight unseen purchase. That's exactly what I got, a fine tooth exam with a vet who was confident in what she found. I use a very well know, highly sought after vet in my home state which makes comparing vets hard, but no issues here. I would not be afraid to use Dr Jael if I needed to again. She was that thorough and knew what she was looking at.

I met Tim and Bernie when they worked out of the old golf course in New Melle. This was way before their fabulous equine facility was a reality. It was only their dream back then. They were very supportive of our OTTB adoption program, taking x-rays and helping with sports medicine advice. Now, maybe 30 plus years later, they provide the best equine care at their state of the art equine center. Good job guys??

Excellent knowledge and expertise of horse lameness, interventions, and evaluations of responsiveness to therapy. We would give Dr. Baxter and his clinic 10/10 stars. We highly recommend for any equine medical need. Mid-rivers is responsive, knowledgeable, professional, and always puts your horse first.

I'd give 10 stars if I could. I couldn’t ask for a more responsive, knowledgeable, educational, and passionate group of equine professionals. I am honored to be able to call the doctors and staff members at Mid-Rivers Equine my friends and Veterinary. They will help you with your every need and they will educate you as to what they are doing and why. I highly recommend this team of passionate professionals.

I wanted to give Dr. Ellis a great review. He has known me since I was 8, and put up with my anxiety, questions and ignorance for all this time. He handles my horse’s mannerisms (my horse is not a fan of vets) and for that I am thankful. Good vets deserve good reviews. Keep up the good work.

Our equestrian community is a tightly knit group where you are careful what you say in fear of being shunned. Well, I have morals and a conscious but more than anything, I don't want what happened to me happen to anyone else. Dr. Baxter gave my horse a lethal dose of medications (vaccinations AND steroids) on the same day that led to laminitis and her painful demise. Not only was he negligent, he took no responsibility or ownership of his actions, instead placing the blame on me and the trainer for sugary treats, pasture grass and underlying conditions. He said he's "been doing it this way for 30 years." When I told a highly respected hoof expert what he had said, she remarked angerly, "he'll never do it this way again." Even after seeing the results of his negligence, he showed no compassion and did little to monitor her condition or care. He hardly responded to my texts or calls. Dr. Baxter was not the only heartless vet at Mid-Rivers I was unfortunate enough to come across during this debacle. Dr. Devereux was at the barn doing massage therapy on healthy horses. When I was crying for help because my horse was in terrible pain, she said and did nothing. And later, while treating her she chose to ignore me (I was holding her) and speak directly to the trainer on how my mare was good with this treatment but not with others. So sorry if she was in pain (due to your colleague's carelessness) and not on her best behavior. If she was professional and compassionate, she would have explained to me what was going on, comforting me and my horse. I have absolutely NO respect for these "doctors" and Mid-Rivers Equine for employing such incompetents. There are plenty better educated and qualified vets in the area -- for the safety of your horse PLEASE don't use Mid-Rivers.

Dr. Mrad, Jackie and everyone else who took care of my horse are amazing. They saved his life. It's a beautiful facility and everyone there is so kind and caring and extremely knowledgeable, even at 3:00 am when we arrived. I got daily updates and was able to visit him every day as well. I am so grateful they are there!

The staff at Mid-Rivers, especially Dr. Mrad, are wonderful. We've unfortunately had to have 2 horses euthanized at Mid-Rivers this year. Dr. Mrad was absolutely great in both circumstances, providing comfort and reassurance and supporting our staff as they made difficult decisions. I'd highly recommend them to anyone!
