About 20 years ago I worked up the courage to visit Music for Pleasure. I had been auditioning components at various local retail shops to replace a system I purchased right out of college. Problem was their new gear sounded worse than my broken amp.I was hesitant to visit this place because of their reputation for selling high end equipment and I assumed they would look down on my modest budget. As it turned out, nothing could be further from the truth. The guys were so cool and worked with me while I figured out what I wanted. I bought a nice integrated amp and a beautiful set of entry level Dynaudio speakers.Fast forward 20 years. I just purchased what is likely my last system from Dwayne, Eric and Rob. They were so helpful and patient as I sorted through my options. This time I had a bigger budget and I couldn’t be happier with my setup.Do yourself a favor and visit them if you are thinking of getting a new system or just need advice on an upgrade path. In my opinion, they are the only real stereo shop in the St. Louis area. They off equipment for any budget and provide outstanding service and support.

I recently moved to a new home and wanted to upgrade my music system. Dwayne came out to assess my needs (and recommended I keep some components that were adequate), communicated with my contractor, and made multiple trips to hook everything up. He was knowledgeable, professional, and the cost was very reasonable. I could not be happier with the results!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Music for Pleasure in search of the perfect sound system for my home. As someone who recently experienced the magic of high-quality audio, I was eager to recreate that immersive experience in my own living space. Instead of relying solely on online research, I wanted to hear the speakers in person, and I couldn't have chosen a better place to do so.Upon entering the store, I was instantly impressed by the welcoming atmosphere and the wide selection of premium audio equipment. The staff's professionalism, knowledge, and friendliness were music to my ears, making me feel confident that I was in the right place.I had the privilege of working with Eric, an incredibly knowledgeable and honest audio expert who took the time to understand my needs and preferences. He showed me a variety of options that fit within my budget, and never tried to upsell me or pressure me into making a hasty decision. Instead, he advised me to gather more information about my intended location for the sound system, ensuring that I would make the best possible choice for my unique situation. It's rare to find such a genuine commitment to customer satisfaction, and I truly appreciated Eric's honest approach. His expertise not only provided me with a wealth of knowledge, but also left me eager to return and complete my home audio journey. In conclusion, my visit to Music for Pleasure was nothing short of spectacular. From the outstanding service to the extensive range of high-quality products, this store is truly an audiophile's paradise. I look forward to returning soon and would highly recommend it to anyone seeking to elevate their home audio experience.

This is an absolutely fantastic place. They have a ton of great gear and being a long time audiophile, I was ecstatic to see it all in a brick and mortar store. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. They gave me a tour of the place and I really appreciated it. I will definitely be using them for my future audio purchases.

Came to visit during a trip to STL since I have no access to true high end brick and mortar stores in my home in Missouri. I met two very knowledgeable representatives, Rob and Eric. Both took a lot of time to answer many questions I had regarding home theater and dedicated 2 channel. The big Boulder room was very nicely setup and demonstrated the equipment well. They have multiple rooms designed to showcase setups small to large and across all budgets. Spent about 2 hours there altogether with no pressure but a lot of great information. Nice oasis where music and sound reproduction takes precedent. Both gentlemen were approachable and affable. Ended up purchasing a Rel sub for the center channel in one of my rigs. I will almost certainly give them more business in the future. Easy to recommend.

Great group of staff; went out of their way to meet our needs; we did a modest system but they treated us as if we were spending lots for a fancy system. Dwayne was wonderful!

I have been a customer of Music for Pleasure since the 90's. Surprisingly, many of the same crew works here still and always know my equipment, how it was installed and why something may need updating. Recently, my Bluesound Node2 stopped working. I brought it in and they swapped it out. No hassles, no returning it to the manufacturer... they just swapped it out and everything is working again perfectly. They are really the only hifi and high end surround sound shop in St. Louis. Chicago has one too, but I think MFP is the best. If you are looking for a hifi shop with people who know their stuff and are extremely passionate, then you have found the right place.

These guys are great. They are very knowledgeable and friendly. There is no push to force you into buying anything, so I will sometimes just stop by to ask questions and find out about new products. They are always willing to help.
