I have tried and tried to give this place our business. As personal home remodelers we'd love to use the small hometown store over the big box anyway. Unfortunately, we cannot give this store out business. I would say 6 messages left to Ryan for questions about a countertop order with ZERO reply was the icing on the cake. He claims he sent an email that was never received, but ignored my calls. Ironically, I had to use my daughter's phone to get him to take my call because he didn't recognize her number. It's almost like they don't want to business. Not to mention the price of their lightweight drywall was $16 a sheet. I asked why it was so high and I was told they are a small store. The Do It Lumber in New Haven had it for $9.75 a sheet, and they are an even smaller store. Sounds like price gouging to me.

This place does not have friendly service. The one time that I went here I did not end up buying anything because they were not helpful in the least or even kind. I am not experienced with shopping for wood. But I was looking for boards that were a half inch thick. I was told that they didn't have any. I went to their website and I saw that they had half inch plywood in sheets of 2 feet by 4 feet. I thought that I could have them just cut that into strips for me. When I went there again, I asked for the 2 feet by 4 feet plywood and they said they they only have 4 feet by 8 feet plywood. I said that was fine and I asked if it could be cut into the widths that I needed. They said it would be an additional $5 per cut and that it would take an hour to have it cut. I didn't buy anything from them. I went to a different lumber store and their people were so much more friendly, They also did not charge to cut the wood and it only took about 10 to 15 minutes to get it cut. I even decided to get a more expensive type of plywood and it was still cheaper than what it would have cost at Washington Lumber.

I bought some deck lumber from this company and had it delivered to my residence 20 miles from their store (to Innsbrook). I have never experienced such excellent service with "any" other company in my 50 years working projects. Sales rep Lora was knowledgeable and courteous. Lumber was "very good" material, delivered when they said, and delivery man "Dean" could not have been more accommodating and friendly. Dean hauled the whole load around to the back of the residence and delivered to our work site. Also waited while I verified the quality of the material. I would recommend this company to anyone doing a serious construction project. (Similar experiences on other projects as well, finally got around to taking time to write them up)
