Have been going to H and R block for a couple years just to find out that's its okay for them to misinform they're customers to make they're job easier which means I might not have gotten the most out of my refund because of being misinformed. My significant other and I share 2 children, he is married in the middle of a divorce where they share no children together, Ron informed us last year that my significant other could claim the kids but wouldn't get the child tax credits for them because of him being married which obviously meant that I would have to claim both of them to get any kind of refund. This year we called Jackson Hewitt just to verify that information just for them to tell me that H and R block was either confused or didn't want to do the paperwork that comes with it. They definitely had all the facts I will never come to H and R block again and you shouldn't either if you don't want to waste your money. What was the point in paying someone to do our taxes just for them to be unhonest, very dissatisfied and disappointed with the service we got from H and R block. If you had your taxes done here especially by Ron I honestly suggest you get it reviewed by another company.

I would not recommend to anyone after the experience we had dealing with Ron Sills. My boyfriend and I scheduled an appointment to get our taxes done together, but he scheduled us at the end of the night and told us he would not have time to finish and we would have to come back. No biggie. When we first got there we explained to him that my boyfriend has been the main provider for me and my 2 daughters the last year, and that I would like him to claim them, which Ron was all on board with. So we filed my 2020 taxes without my children as dependents. When we came back the next day to file my boyfriends taxes, Ron had decided that we can’t let my boyfriend claim them, and we would have to amend my first refund. In doing so, I feel like we lost out on a big refund that we could have gotten. When filling my amended taxes, I had to send it through the mail as a paper refund, which took much longer to get to the IRS. I sent out my state and federal at the same time, both weighing the same, and received my state refund a month or so after sending it out. So I patiently waited and waited and waited for my federal refund to come through. In the meantime I did receive my Stimulus check, but did not receive any money for my children being dependents on my refund because they did not get my amended federal return. I filed at the end of February and I just got in the mail my amended federal Return stamped from March 9th just sitting somewhere for the last almost 4 months not even sent to the IRS. I’m extremely disappointed in the way Mr. sills scheduled his appointments 30 minutes apart. I was showed up for my scheduled appointment and was waiting 30 mins when the next appointment showed up because he isn’t giving himself time to properly file everyone’s taxes with correct information. I definitely feel like we were cheated out of what we worked for and I will never make the stupid decision to use these services.
