7405 Pershing Ave, University CityThis small but mighty establishment in University City cannot be missed. The menu is an innovative mix of multiple cuisines presented in the humblest of formats; the taco. Order from your phone or at the counter.
The chips and queso were great. The queso was especially good with the just the right amount of heat.
Tried the special taco; “the Busan”, which was very flavorful. The chicken was juicy and had an excellent umami- smoky taste.
Others in my group got the salad and the quesadilla. Two thumbs up from everyone.
The vibe is decidedly casual with mostly outdoor seating. The service was excellent. Cool, approachable, knowledgeable and most importantly, unobtrusive.
Parking is limited. There is a small lot in the back. Street parking is hit or miss.
Can’t wait to come back to try the rest of the menu.

Meshuggah Cafe
6269 Delmar Blvd, University CityThis is a quaint little coffee shop with a decent amount of indoor and outdoor seating. They have a multitude of games on a shelf above the condiment bar. The staff is very friendly. The coffee is 10/10 we had the egg and lox everything bagel and it did not disappoint. Fantastic spot for conversation or personal reflection.

American Falafel
6314 Delmar Blvd, University City5 stars for a counter serve spot in the Loop. I ordered the beef kabob with everything on it. It was delicious! The baba ganoush has a great Smokey flavor and makes an excellent starter on its own. I didn’t get a picture of my husband’s falafel wrap but he said it was very tasty and good also. Definitely recommend. We were referred by a Jordanian who said it is the most authentic Jordanian style that he has had in St. Louis. Be sure to check it out!

Salt + Smoke
6525 Delmar Blvd, University CityAte at Salt and Smoke on Friday 11-15-24 It was Delicious. Had the Bestie 2 I had Brisket and ribs it all was excellent. Our waiter was wonderful. He was very attentive but not intrusive.
