Big River used to be the place to go as a runner in St. Louis. Now I question if they are even a running store. It seems apparel choices are left to private label, brooks and maybe a random brand or 2. Shoes hardly showcase a selection anymore. Nutrition is basically Gu and honey stinger, where are all the others you use to carry? And as a man, how am I supposed to purchase apparel when there is no selection.Staff is really nice. Store is nice. But come on BRR. Just shop online folks. You can actually get what is best for you and not be limited

The best place to go for runners or walkers! Mike is so knowledgeable and patient. He first studied my old pair of running shoes and listened to what I liked, didn't like, and needed in a pair of shoes. He spent a lot of time helping me try out models and his first suggestion is the most comfortable pair of running shoes that I absolutely love- I feel like I can go in them forever! Thanks Big River!

Big thank you to Kasey. She listened to what I needed and made suggestions and showed me a couple of pairs of shoes, tried both pair on and walked out with the best fit. I will not go nowhere else from now on to buy my Brooks running shoes. They also have a great selection of other shoe brands too. Thank you again Kasey.

First time to visit this store and it was great. I'm an avid runner so frequent other running-specialized shops and this location was at the top. Michael helped my daughter with her shoe selection and thoroughly answered every question. I highly recommend.

Now this is supreme customer service! Jacob was very knowledgeable about which shoes may help with my various foot issues. They had a good selection. He was also extraordinarily patient and kind. My new Saucony shoes are the best athletic shoes I've ever had. The HOKA felt good too. Got socks on sale and they're super comfortable. Grateful for the service. I know businesses these days are struggling to find and keep help. We all need to pause.

Jeanine (if that’s how you spell her name) was an absolutely fantastic salesperson. Upbeat, helpful, knowledgeable and what you look for when you go to a store like this. Not really pushy, but so nice mannered to pass up giving your store a sale.

Can't recommend this place higher (10 stars).To keep this short Kaisey, greeted me immediately on my arrival. Listed to what I wanted and footwear problems. Measured my feet, in minutes reappeared with 3 different shoes. I tried them all on, and the inserts she recommended. 7 days later, feet and hips no longer hurt while taking long walks.I would not have believed this if I read it but it is very true. Thank you Kasisey and Big River.

It happens so rarely these days where an employee puts incredible service above speed of service. Mike, you made my day, got me the shoes I was searching for and customized the experience by adding the no tie laces; no, not just selling them to me and making me learn the whole process but actually installing them on the shoes. I was so floored I told my kids and now I’m sharing it with the world. You knocked the cover off the ball, great job!
