120 Elm St, Washington“I bought Christmas presents for all of my co-workers here! Perfect gifts for anyone with a furry buddy. I believe in supporting local business so this place and Neighborhood Reads will be my new go-to places for Christmas shopping.”
“We drove to MO from IL and rescued a Toller today and brought her straight here for a groom. The staff could not have been nicer and they did an amazing job with Amara. I apologize for not remembering the specific groomer's name but she cut Amara exactly how I wanted and she took wonderful care of our new girl.Thank you, Everyone for your time and help. If you live near this location, please let them take care of your babies!!”
“This is NOT a place for dumb animals. They will not make them smarter for you!! Trust. Save yourself the embarrassment. However, if you have an animal that you wanna take care of properly, then you should check these guys out.”
“I love this humane society location. They work with me very well on accepting straight animals since I am not a licensed rescue. They provide intake dates ahead of time so that you can plan. They are very small so they can't accept a lot of animals. But they do get them adopted out in various locations fairly quickly. So the animals don't sit in the shelter for a long time. They do have some working cats or barn. Cats occasionally whereas most other shelters will just euthanize them. Many people keep spreading rumors that they are not a no-kill shelter. And that they euthanize, this is not true. I brought many animals there that were still scared and not entirely friendly. But we're adoptable and they've never euthanized any of them. If they have an issue i'm notified and I can take the kitty back and socialize it a little bit more. I am an official foster and they work very well with me. Providing food and medication for the animals I foster. Staff are very kind and very efficient, but extremely busy because they are a smaller location and they are rural, but also highly needed.”
