Unfortunately, I can't recommend this place to adopt from. I adopted a cat from them that had some serious issues such as not peeing in the litter box. I resolved the issues after the first 2 months. They were fully aware I have a well trained dog. They were completely unconcerned about the dog. The cat had previously been returned for prior issues of peeing outside the litter box. They had no issues with me adopting the cat.Fast forward to now, I saw a dog currently available for adoption and met him twice in person. I filled out an application. My application was put in first. I was told I could foster to adopt. Now I was told I can't do that. And they also told me that another employee where the dog is being housed wants to adopt the dog. They're so worried about my cat and this dog. It's ridiculous. They are aware I've adopted other rescue dogs that have had issues in which I have had to train them and take them to professional trainers. I have called and asked to speak to the manager Allison and was denied that opportunity. Needless to say, I'm done with this place. There other rescues that don't act like this. This type of behavior is very disappointing. I was hoping to add this dog to my loving family. They would probably have a higher adoption rate if they would stop playing games. These animals just want a forever home.

They took care of my two escape artists and didn’t judge me for anything—that alone says a lot. Thank you guys once again for taking care of my boys while I fixed the fence in order to prevent any future mishaps!! They had a little vacation I had a mini stroke! ? would recommend —highly!

They care so much. They do as much as they can with what little funds they get at times.

Wonderful people giving their all for the sake of goodness and the defenseless! If you have the desire for companionship and the capability to provide a loving home, please adopt! Too many animals been left behind primarily by choice, by those not long term serious about such commitment. If you don't intend to keep your animals through their entire life, through thick and thin you should not have a pet, until and unless you are. Adopted THIS amazingly gentle boy from FCHS recently. He was apparently well cared for in his prior arrangement and will now continue to have a good life for all his remaining days! Thank you to Ryan for fostering Cobra and the staff at Franklin County Humane Society, for ALL they do!!John, Villa Ridge

I have talked to them several times about finding a dog that is the right fit for our home. I am very impressed by everyone's knowledge and compassion for the animals there. Every person i talked to had detailed information about the dog we met with and had great information about how to introduce him into our home. I am very impressed and grateful for everyone there.

I needed to turn over a dog that showed up in the middle of the night because mine was in heat and I had searched for his home for 2 hours and needed to go to work. Anyhow, the humane Society did not open until eleven a m, I showed up there at about 10:15 am...and I was helped immediately by 3 employees who all seemed eager to help!In case you are wondering...I did later in the day find the owner and let them know where he was located. Dog is now chipped and back with his loving family :) ?

Really Respect this organization. Brought a 100.00 worth of food there,,it was cat and a large bag of dog food off their own preferred brands list. A little disappointed that they said,, just sit it outside, we will get it soon. Was a little concerned that it would get stolen, it was food meant for unfortunate animals, not people trying to be cheap. The employee said that if they steal it they must really need it.Would of carry it inside if they were short handed. Pets with no home are my soft spot.
