Recently moved to the area and was looking for a new vet for my 8 year old dog. I was so pleased with my experience at the Troy Veterinary Clinic!! Staff was wonderful and the doctor was so good with my dog. Everyone was so patient and kind. My dog has some skin issues due to allergies and they were straight forward and let me decide how aggressive I wanted to treat it. No pushy sales tactics here!! Prices are extremely reasonable. So happy to have found such a wonderful vet close to home!

Everyone here is so nice and accommodating. I got no judgement for not taking my dog to the vet since we moved out to Troy. Was able to get my new kitten in quickly. Highly recommended

Killed my cat Teddy with incompetence.
Here's the deal, the days of calling your veterinarian doctor when your pet is having medical problems is over. That was the good old days, when the animals health was priority. Cash is now priority.
If you call your vet during working hours (don't even think about calling after hours), you're not going to talk to your veterinarian, you're going to talk to an intern or technician who thinks he or she is already a doctor and has just enough knowledge to make them dangerous. The intern/tech will listen to your description of what is going on, make a diagnosis and treatment, because they think they are already doctors, then go to the actual doctor and relay a version of what they believe is going on. Just like the old grade school experiment of "telephone", where a story is passed from one person to another and by the time the story reaches the last person, the story is completely different and inaccurate.
The intern will then relay the doctor's advice, which will be exactly what the intern originally suggested. And it will be wrong and cause the death of your beloved pet.
Never, Ever, call your veterinarian doctor if your pet is experiencing a medical problem! Always Google first for the most accurate information, and go from there. Drive your pet to an actual veterinarian hospital if needed.

This place is great. I switched from my old vet to Troy Veterinary Clinic, and I'm very glad I did. Every receptionist is very friendly and helpful. Wait times are minimal, we didn't even notice a particularly long wait when we went on a Saturday morning. The prices were AMAZING. I had to take 4 cats for their yearly vaccines, and one needed a microchip, and two needed antibiotics. It was like $100 less than what my old vet would charge for just the vaccines! When I switched, I definitely thought I'd be paying more for the higher quality care here, and I was a bit shocked when the price was so low. Dr. Schwendemann was very informative and helpful, she actually listened to all of our concerns and provided multiple options. And of course, the vet and all of the veterinary assistants were very gentle and kind to our cats. I highly recommend this clinic and will continue to go here.
