“My steering wheel had a lot of vibration in it at certain speeds. I took my truck to two other local shops first and the first one said I needed a new torque converter and the second one said I needed a whole new transmission and quoted me $4,500. I decided to get a third opinion and took it to Jim at Professional Auto Repair CTR. He told me right away when I described what the truck was doing that it was not likely due to the transmission. After just a short amount of time looking into it, Jim determined that the issue was the 7th cylinder misfiring and causing the clutch on the torque converter to engage at certain speeds. He said I likely just need to replace a spark plug or coil which is a cheap fix. I appreciate Jim's honesty and knowledge and the fact that he saved me from spending thousands with another shop that was trying to take advantage of me instead of fixing the actual problem. I highly recommend Jim and Professional Auto Repair CTR and will be using them again when needed.”
