I have had a spot at the Collins Road facility for quite a few years. Last week, after a day that everything went wrong, I found myself trapped in the facility. I didn't know that you couldn't access it after 10 pm. We got in before 10 but after getting it in the spot and unhooked it was after 10 pm and we couldn't get out. I called every number, left messages, did everything I could to get out but I finally had to call the police. Eventually we were able to get the fence to open so we could leave. The police and firemen said if anyone had a medical emergency in there it would have been a disaster. They have no emergency code to access the facility.
I gave 2 stars because obviously my property is fairly safe there but with the prices and lack of employee assistance I will be finding somewhere else to store my trailer. If there was an emergency, there would be no way to contact anyone.

I rent a unit at the Collins rd location in Smithville. You guys decided to double charge my card four days after I called and made a payment. Every employee/ and the one manager. Vanessa I talked too had been more then rude. Wouldn’t listen to me and was not willing to work with me until I could provide bank statements. How do you mistakenly charge somebody twice in a month when it’s a monthly storage unit payment? Even worse, how do you do it four days after they called and made the payment And it processed. How do you guys not see on my account that I don’t owe anything this unit used to be 24 hours It’s now 6 AM to 10 PM. You guys used to have somebody at the units Now there’s nobody there. Quality of the storage units has gone down since recnation took over. Prices have continuously gone up. And employees have continuously gotten ruder to paying customers. Had this unit for over two years and I can confidently say I will not be having this unit much longer.

RecNation RV & Boat Storage has been nothing less than incredible! I had a very difficult situation to navigate and they were so easy to work with and helped make a smooth transition. James D is an amazing person and gave the best customer service I've ever experienced. Thank you all for your business and I will remain staying a RecNation customer.

We have been very pleased with RecNation. We've always felt our storage was safe there, and now they have added a safety gate and added cameras to make it even more secure. We can also make online payments, which is super convenient.

I do like the facility, however we have had some issues with the gate. Call center is very attentive when you get them on the line. It’s clean and easy to access.

Not worth the hassle.. The amount of paperwork and info required from you for a parking spot is ridiculous. Try calling them, I hope you have spare time, you're going to be on hold for quite awhile. Even to cancel your spot is a pain.They want a 10 day notice and a picture of the empty spot sent to them. Now I get to pay them for another month with nothing there. I also have to drive back out to that location to take a picture of an empty parking space. Red tape to get in and out.

Look at other storage facilities before you consider this company. This particular facility has been bought and sold 2 times in the past year before RecNation took over. Since RecNation took over, they have raised the rate 3 times in 6 months, charged incorrect "insurance" fees even though I have provided it to them multiple times and pass off all processing fees if you pay with anything other than a bank transfer. Other than location to boat ramp W, there is nothing special about this facility and there are plenty of boat storage options on 169 now.

ReNation is a friendly and professional organization and since acquiring the Trimble, MO facility I have seen daily improvements. Their Team, Gabriella particularly, are extremely talented and knowledgeable at fielding questions and fixing issues. Five Stars!!
