James and Rob at Perkins Diesel are very easy to talk with, and have helped me countless times to figure out what’s the best option to move forward on many trucks. They go above and beyond for the customer. I like them so much that I’ll have trucks towed almost 100 miles across state borders just so they can look at it. Good people, good work.

I became a Perkins Diesel customer about 2 years ago and have always been very pleased with their repairs and customer service, however what they did recently for me really sealed the deal for me as them being my favorite diesel shop to bring my truck to. My charge pipe boot failed and left me stranded at a lake. This was on a Saturday. Everyone i called or looked up was either closed or did not have the part and could only get me the part within 5-7 days. I called Rob even though Perkins was closed and not only did they have the part, he drove 40 minutes out of his way to get the part and then drove another 40 minutes to meet me. I am beyond thankful for what they did for me! And would highly recommend anyone to take their trucks to Perkins Diesel. Great customer service, great repairs, and most importantly, great people!

Prompt, knowledgeable, professional service. These can be hard to find these days. But after months of expensive frustration, I finally found Perkins Diesel. James was our introduction to Perkins and our primary point of contact. He took our call and was very helpful, communicative and attentive to our issues. He made quick work to schedule our truck and get us back on the road. But our great experience didn’t stop there. In James’ absence, others picked up right where we left off and didn’t miss a beat. They took great notes and documented our conversations so anyone that interfaced with the customer could look over the case and have the information they need to discuss it with me, the customer. Perkins took our truck, solved our problem and did so promptly and affordably, especially when compared to those we’d tried before them. Though it’s a little bit of a drive for us, we will use Perkins Diesel for our truck needs and would highly recommend them. Thank you Perkins Diesel!

They was able to diagnose my 2006 Chevrolet Duramax issue within a day of dropping it off which was a day earlier than expected. Rob contacted me with details of what they had done to determine what the issue was and with a solution, during this call I asked him if they could also look at my dim dash light issue. They ordered the parts and within a week they had my truck back up and going with a new turbo, a new fuel rail valve and new headlight switch installed. After picking up our truck we noticed a rattle, we called Rob and he said bring the truck back up and he would have a mechanic go with us for a ride to listen for the noise/rattle. They got our truck back in within an hour had the rattle found and fixed. Our truck runs great!! Rob and the mechanic was great to work with. Definitely recommend Perkins Diesel. Thank you Rob and Perkins Diesel!!

So... I've left them a review before because in November 2023, they treated me right when my standpipe went out on my truck. Now it's leaking oil. I took it in to have it diagnosed and looked at and fixed. They told me it was leaking from the valve covers and that there were broken bolts they had to drill out and replace. The original estimate was $350. Then it went up and up everytime they called me back until it was at $836. It had to sit there for a couple weeks for me to be able to come up with that much money. I pay for it and specifically ask on the phone before I paid if it was leaking oil still. I was told it was not leaking, maybe just residual stuff on the bottom. I paid for it. I go that evening to pick it up. I start it and it's leaking just as much oil as it was when I took it in. I never even made it out of their parking lot. So I leave it there and they looked at it last night, and now say it's an oil pump and oil cooler that's causing it to leak. They said it wasn't leaking when they finished the first repair. But an oil pump and oil cooler isn't just going to leak that much oil out of the blue when I go to pick it up. And now they said it's $1,800 to fix those. I asked what they can do for me since I just paid them $836 for what it was suppose to be and now this amount to do more work. They said the owners will knock off 3 hours labor. So they knocked off $350. So now I'm paying for 7 more hours labor instead of 10 more, when this should have been found during the "DIAGNOSTIC" and could have been fixed while they were already in there. James has always been good with me and TJ the shop foreman was good with me. But I'm very very very disappointed. Especially when I'm now paying $2,300 for something that started originally at $350. They have now lost my business. When my truck is done, I will take it somewhere else moving forward. I hoped they would make it right with me. But knocking off 3 hours labor isn't making it right.

Paid $1000 for injector replacement which they said I needed I had a 5.9 Cummins in my dodge ram 4x4 Laramie I never realized they didn’t not replace the injectors with oem but they said they were better so I tryed them so I would guess better means more power at same mpg or same power at better mpg. I got none of those ? Waist. I’ll take it somewhere that knows what they are doing

I asked them to adjust my tps for the transmission/ torque converter shift points on my 12 valve as I was too busy. I talked to the mechanic on the phone even. Couldn't figure it out. Then they charged me for diagnosis that I didn't need. I went home and adjusted the mV on the tps in 45 min. But was still out 200 bucks. Don't waste your hard earned money here. I waited over a year to review to make sure I wasn't just heated. I wasn't they're not qualified.

Cost me an engine due to their sloppy work. Took my truck in for an ecm issue done a bunch of work that didn't need done never did fix the problem how ever reset the values and set them backwards which bet the top off all six pistons busted the head took out the turbo. Wouldn't stand behind the work they did or even talk to me about it when I called.
