My fiancée was misinformed about a purchase by one of the sales representatives. Although they are willing to let us exchange the couch past the 7 day window (and spend thousands more in the process), they refuse to waive the 15% restocking fee. I believe this fee is largely due to the sales representative misleading my fiancée. While we could have done our own research instead of trusting the employee, we put our faith in Value City. They are not taking any responsibility for their part in this error, and are unwilling to waive this $400 fee.This seems not only unreasonable but also bad for business. Why drive away new homeowners who are in the process of furnishing their home? I would stay away just off of customer service alone.

Update _1018: I’m upgrading my rating from 2 to 4 ⭐️ as I really overwhelmed with the action they did. Have reported multiple issues with the initial set though it was small but many. In no time, the supervisor Kyle (?) called me and had entire set replaced. They delivered it quick and better set ofcourse. Really appreciate what they did this time. Thank you ??
Update_0918: Finally last piece of our furniture delivered. Delivery guys were rude enough to assemble the whole final product. Also there were small damages they didn’t want to report, had to force them to make that happen.
Update_0830: After talking to sales supervisor, he agreed and did a partial delivery which relieved us a lot. For the missing pieces of the furnitures- got 6th date.
Additional start for the sales supervisor who understand my situation ?
Update_0823: New delivery date again for 5th times.
All I’m getting dates for delivery - it’s 4th date since I placed my order. The attitude of the customer service “We don’t care about the customer- all you have to wait.”
Never had such terrible experience buying furniture, so pathetic!

Store staff is polite, and there was no pressure at all. Delivery team was also polite, fast, and accurate with the assembly.

We bought a sofa and loveseat as well as don't ning room chairs. Everyone was super helpful. They even assisted us after our order was placed to make a change to it...without any issues.
Delivery was also a breeze to go through. The guys that delivered the sofa and loveseat were fantastic. They set things up and double checked everything to be sure it worked right. Give VCF a chance to earn your business. You won't be disappointed.

DO NOT PURCHASE ANY FURNITURE FROM HERE IF YOU NEED YOUR FURNITURE ASAP!
I originally purchased a dresser and end table for my living room, as I have a toddler that is wanting to climb on everything and I needed something safe for him. I purchased the furniture on 8/10 and was told that the dresser would be ready for pickup on 8/22 and the end table would be ready for pickup on 10/17. THE DAY BEFORE the dresser was supposed to be ready for pickup, I got a call that it was going to be postponed for a week, on 8/29.
The next week, on 8/28, I came into the store to speak with them, as they called and told me that the end table that was supposed to be ready for pickup on 10/17 was now PUSHED BACK TO 12/5! ONLY BECAUSE I CAME INTO THE STORE did I find out that my dresser, which was already pushed back a week from 8/22 to 8/29 and I was supposed to be picking up tomorrow, was now pushed back AGAIN a WHOLE MONTH to 9/26!!!! I was FUMING!
At this point, I just wanted to cancel my order altogether, but stupidly, I didn't. I should've known better. I ended up needing to get a different end table and reordered the dresser, but without the mirror. They took off a whopping $36 for "customer satisfaction". My new expected pick up date for both are 10/3. Well, as if I should've already known, go figure, they push my date back, YET AGAIN. I got a voicemail on 9/28, stating that "one piece" would be ready for pickup on time, but the other would be delayed a week, to 10/10. I called today (9/29) and I was told that the person, Kyle, who left that message was wrong and that BOTH pieces were delayed another week.
I'm truly fed up right now. Honestly, I wish I would've cut my losses that first time and gone somewhere else, but yet here I am. I was told by Bri that they could have my furniture on time (10/3) at a different location, which is about an hour drive from my house. I opted for that option because I've needed my furniture since AUGUST, when I ordered it all and it was promised to be ready by. Having to be postponed by 2 months is absolutely unacceptable. I was told that EVEN WITH ALL OF THESE DELAYS on their part, they were not willing to offer any discounts or credits for all of the inconveniences on me. I let them know just how wrong that is and that I would never do business with them again.
Literally, the ONLY positive thing I can say is how kind and understanding Bri from customer service is and how amazing my sales rep, Kat, was. She knew my budget and did not push me to go over my spending limit. She was very personable and I felt that she was on my side. Aside from these two people, there is just nothing else positive to say.
Management needs to do better to keep their customers happy and compensate for issues on their end. I will definitely NEVER be back and I will HIGHLY recommend to all of my family and friends to never purchase from this company!
