Get a call in April for our pins. My wife asks if we owe anything. We're told no. Supply pins the following day. Get a call June 17th. "Your pins didn't work, do you think our secretary mixed them up?" Also we owe $700. Call back and resupply pins. No call back to let me know if everything went through. I don't know what value looks like in the tax world, I've watched HRB do my taxes the same way I had for 20 years, wasn't a value at $400. While I haven't watched the physical work here, I am a little taken aback at how long it's taken to find out my pins didn't work and also not getting a courtesy call saying "yep, those worked this time." Mr. Sederburg was stellar when we met in 2022 and he reviewed the work of another agency that said I owed 15k. It was that service I joined for, and the lack there of is why I'll shop elsewhere.

I tried Sederburg for my income tax prep several years ago after feeling dissatisfied with the accounting firm I had been using in Chesterfield. My only regret is that I did not make the switch sooner. (I have been with Sederburg ever since.) They are accurate, up-to-date on tax law changes, knowledgeable, friendly, patient with my questions, and reasonably priced (about half of what I was paying previously). I highly recommend Anna as she exemplifies everything I mentioned above.

Do not use this company. Like many of the other reviews on here, they incorrectly filed our taxes in 2022. we were told we would receive a significant tax return and even when we questioned it, we were told it was correct. Come to find out, we in-fact owed the IRS. Now some months later we cannot get Doug or anyone else to call us back or even return an email. They promote a guarantee that they will back their work and help you with the IRS in any audits, etc until you actually need their assistance. Then you can’t get anyone to give you an answer or even email you back. Terrible service.

Don’t use this company, they don’t get your taxes done at all. Even after 10 weeks. I came in November and dropped and explained myself to Doug. The people working here have no clear idea how to run a business. All they do is send you to voice mail and they are booked out for weeks after I came early to prepare. Even if I drop my taxes off on April 15th. You should be able to get them done in 10 weeks. No one ever called me through out this entire experience. I always had to call them. Looks like you guys also have a ton of IRS complaints, good thing I came up and picked my stuff up before you started it and wrecked it. Stay away from this place, running down hill quick.

I have used them for many years and had great service, but this year was terrible. They incorrectly prepared my taxes stating I was to receive a return, but I ended up getting a notice from the IRS saying I owed thousands of dollars and penalties for lateness. I brought this to Sederberg and was casually told that they must have put in a wrong tax credit. They offered no compensation in any way for the amount I paid them or for the penalties I incurred.

Look somewhere else if you want to have your tax return done accurate and on time. Terrible experience during the 2022 tax year.

We have gone to Sederburg to prepare our tax returns since 2014. New owner prepared our 2022 taxes and told us we were getting an $8,300 RETURN. Then we received a letter from the IRS that there were errors on our return and we actually OWE $780. Spoke with Sederburg and they said there is nothing they can do except pay the interest and penalty which equals $5.23. I am shocked there is nothing that can be done about an $8K mistake and there is not more oversight to prevent large errors like this. It's a huge blow when you are expecting $8k to find out its not coming. We will not return next year and will find someone more reliable.
