Worst customer service I’ve dealt with in years. Joe behind the counter acted like placing my paint order was a burden from the very beginning. Short, snotty responses throughout my experience, but just bit my tongue and placed my order. When I called to check the status of my order, the amount of disrespect I received from Joe for bothering him with a phone call (attempting to give him business) was second to none. It borderline felt like I was being yelled at like a child. I promptly requested my order to be cancelled.I have a family PPG discount that I willingly walked away from and will gladly pay double at a competing store just to avoid giving Joe a pennies worth of my business.

Horrible customer service. Associates pick up the phone extremely unprofessionally and are short with their customer- even if it’s a sister store requesting help from them. As if the employees are always mad at the world.

Where do I begin? I had my deck sanded and restained by Five Star Painting, who were 100% professional and did a fantastic job. However, after less than 3 months, our deck looked faded and worn. I reached out to Five Star, who came out and agreed that this was not the standard in which the deck was left and was photographed at finished. Five Star reached out to Matt at PPG, who came out to evaluate the deck. I will have to say he was not the friendliest guy. There are times in your life when you know you are being judged, and this was one of them. Matt stated that he would contact the TWP Rep after a few follow-up texts. A week to two or so later, Matt and the TWP Rep came to evaluate the deck. I am not a laborer, but this is not our first home or our first deck. My husband and I have built Million Dollar Homes and work hard for everything we have, but again we were judged. I hate to pull the race card, but in this instance, it is appropriate. The TWP Representative came in, and it was apparent that he would not stand behind the product right off the bat. First, question how hold was the deck. Well, Sir, the deck was build at the time the home was constructed 4 years ago. "It should have been weathered before stained," stated Mr. TWP Representative! But, Sir, we did not stain the deck for a year after moving in. Then Mr. TWP Representative stated that it should have been weathered after it was sanded for 6 months before being stained. NOW WAIT! WHO THE HELL HIRES A COMPANY TO SAND, RESTAIN, POWERWASH, PUT DOWN THE PROPER CHEMICAL BEFORE STAINING, TO WAIT 6 MONTHS FOR THE JOB TO BE COMPLETED. That was a total insult to my intelligence! After being pressed by Five Star Painting, Mr. TWP Representative then posed the question, "what grade of sand paper was used."NOW REALLY, MR. TWP and MR. PPG Representative, are you that lame that you will make it apparent that you will not stand behind your product! After waiting 3 weeks, they informed Five Star Painting that they would not be standing behind their product. It was pretty apparent that you made your mind up upon arriving at my home. You judge us based on who we were! That is sad! Now, so you all understand, we keep a pristine home, it is a $700k+ home, and it is so clean you can eat off the floors. Now you tell me, does this look like a deck that was just stained 90 days ago? The product did not last the full Summer or year. The positive integrity of the sealant is still good, but the integrity of the company to stand behind their product 100% is not.

I'll start by saying that staff that works the floor is great and very knowledgeable. Rick has been very helpful! However, PPG's customer support is terrible. They do not stand behind their products. As a painting company, we do a bunch of decks in a season and have had a couple issues. The small issues I don't report or try to get help with reimbursement because those could be chalked up to painter errors or improper prep in some locations. Therefore, we just go back and fix those. We had a deck that lasted not even 60 days before the entire deck surface bleached out and lost all of it's color. I tested the sealer with water to ensure the sealer was still sealing out moisture. Sure enough the water beaded right up and the sealer was still doing it's job, however we lost all color. My PPG Rep and the TWP Rep came to look at the deck and after 3 weeks of waiting to hear a verdict on how this situation would be handled, they informed me it was our fault because we sanded the deck. Mind you, the deck was prepared exactly the way it was described to us by our REP!!!! We washed the deck, used stain and sealer remover, then sanded with 80-100 grit sandpaper to remove the remaining color, then we used Sherwin-Williams Revive to clean the pores in the wood. We videoed the ENTIRE process!!!!! WE HAVE PROOF of what we did and how we did it but yet it's still our fault.I'm not saying PPG has all bad products. I believe they might have great some products. But to be fair, we have had issues with Sherwin Williams products in the past. The customer service and support is leaps and bounds better with Sherwin-Williams. They will stand behind their product and take responsibility for a faulty product. I do not recommend purchasing your products from PPG.If you are wanting quality customer service and support buy your products from Sherwin-Williams. I can promise you Sherwin will make wrongs right. PPG will not.

We came in looking for cabinet paint and Rick was awesome. He explained all the things we might need, how to complete the project, & gave us advice on the whole process. Their Breakthrough paint came highly recommended & I expect really good things.

This is an excellent place for the professional contractor or even the average "DYI" homeowner to buy their paint and supplies. They have a very freindly knowledgable staff ready to serve you. When you know what you want or if you need any color matched this is the place to go. Unlike the big box stores that have service that is "hit or miss". These guys are always on target and get it right.
