I've always had good experiences at this JCPenney's. The customer service at the fine jewelry counter is friendly, and yes everyone is short staffed so there's just one person working that department, but all you need is to be a bit patient. People are so impatient these days. Slow down a little and look around you, window shop, take a deep breath. If you are in a rush because you didn't give yourself enough time to find what you want, it's not the associate's fault. I was the first customer in today so I was helped right away and was quickly shown the stud earrings my mom wanted at 70% off plus she told me I could double down with a 25% off coupon. Purchased a lifetime warranty because it is so worth it and the cost is proportionate to the cost of the jewelry. The store is very clean and well stocked and sales are going on all the time. You can always find some great deals and they also carry name brands. I always feel safe at the Mid Rivers Mall store and parking lot. Their back to school sales are incredible and a great place to shop with your children.

The only reason I had to put one star so I can leave a review I would not go to JC penny at all they have the most nastiest person in customer service name Michelle she's African-American and she is nasty unprofessional I have cut up my JCPenney's credit card and I will never shop there, I filed a formal complaint about her I also asked to speak to the manager Brandon but he was at lunch and then never called me back, Michelle was very mouthy and rude I can't believe JC Penney thought it was a good idea to put her in customer service

The hoop earrings I purchased were poorly designed and the clasp broke after 3 months. They refused to let me return them and choose a pair that were made better. I instead have to have them fix the clasps that will continue to have the same problem. I did buy the coverage plan so the repair will be done out of state and I will get them back in a couple of weeks. The problem being that they have a poor design and the problem will continue to happen. The earrings will be in repair in a short time after I get them back. You can not return jewelry at Penneys.
