They're always hiring bc they can't communicate or follow protocol but want employees to. After going in hours early to help an employee who refused to assist me with 2person hoyer, they started taking my hours. So glad I reported them to OSHA before they terminated me but taking hours and termination are retaliation & I'm not the type to do it bc your boss said to. They've been investigated before and will this time& probably in the future if they aren't shut down soon

I had the opportunity to work one on one with community living for a family member that was in need of assistance for a child with a developmental disability. The team at community living gave us tours of all their facilities, walked us through their recreational programs, their job placement programs and additional programs they offer for families supporting these individuals. I have nothing but the highest respect for community living if you find yourself looking for aid for anybody in your family or community that has a developmental disability, I would recommend reaching out to community living.

Community Living truly live by their mission to by working tirelessly to enrich the lives of those with disabilities so they can achieve their highest potential. Everyone in their organization is humble, caring, and passionate. Volunteers, paid staff, admin support, leadership and participants in their many programs make our community so very wonderful. Community Living goes above and beyond to help so many feel welcomed everywhere. They offer many options to get involved and lived a fulfilled life no matter what ability. The staff is passionate about giving back and making sure everyone is having an enjoyable day or night. :)

I now see why they have high turnover at this place. LOTS of favoritism. People sitting behind desks, making decisions about situations and homes they don't go to. Management IS THE WORST!! ????

My restaurant has partnered with Community Living for several events. The leadership and staff have always been a pleasure to work with! The work they do for our community and their industry is no easy task. They are closer to Angels than people who run a business.

This review has more or so to do with my personal experience considering I was only with this company for a short time. I have been trying to get in touch with the office by phone and email but no one seems to care so I will write my full experience in a review.I started working here in the beginning of February 2020, immediately I noticed something off about the environment but I was really I need of a job at the time. I got put into a house with 3 ladies, right off the bat I got along with the residents. I really loved working with the women I was responsible for. The manager and coworkers are always a different story. On my first day I was told by another co-worker to sit and read over the ladies behavioral & diet plans until the manager arrived. when the manager finally came into the door (late) she immediately asked why I was sitting down as if I knew what I was supposed to be doing. Everyday she walked around barefoot, which she also brought to my attention that I was not aloud to do because it would be breaking the rules. She showed a great deal of favoritism to other co-workers in the house. There were list and new rules that she brought to our attention each week. I felt that she would only say something to me if I missed or forgotten one. So I brought it to her attention and she then gave me a write up & told me “if you want to quit you could leave today” meaning walk out in the middle of my shift. About 30 minutes later She told me to go home and think about if I wanted to stay with the company. Then she texted me at 8:00pm at night and told me that I wasn’t allowed on the property because I asked for a copy of my write up. She later called me and told me that my performance on the job wasn’t good that’s why I was fired, but I am 100% aware that’s not the case.

Community Living is a great organization who supports individuals with developmental disabilities in a variety of capacities. They support individuals in an in home setting, through day program services and through after school programs as well. Staff attend thorough annual training per DMH guidelines in order to support the individuals in their daily lives.

I live next door to one of these houses and they are constantly having police calls, the employees spend all night outside smoking and being loud and they don't follow city ordinance. They ruined my yard. Clearly these houses aren't managed well. I would not send my loved one there.
