After using one of the "Big Box" stores for countertop installation, resulting in a measured-too-narrow countertop, and broken cabinet doors, I was apprehensive and leery of all companies when I shopped around for a replacement countertop. Affordable was WONDERFUL! The resulting countertop looks great, and everyone involved, from showroom to installation, was professional and friendly. Unlike many of the other companies I visited, Affordable is far from pretentious. At no time did I feel I was being judged or pressured into any material-type or design. The installers arrived on time, answered any questions, and finished earlier than I'd expected. I didn't entirely realize how messed-up the "Big Box" installation was until the Affordable one was installed. I'd almost felt I was being too judgmental until I heard the Affordable guys remarking to each other about the how parts of the prior installation were odd, and to look out for questionable materials and installation techniques. Friends and family have commented on how good the kitchen looks now. Even though their showroom is over 30 miles from my home, it was worth the drive. In fact, since Affordable also does bathrooms, I will most assuredly be contacting them again in a few monthes for that project. After my prevous contractor retired, and then living with the disastrous results left by the Big Box people, it is so, SO very reassuring to know I have found in Affordable a company that I can trust, and will always recommend.

Would not use this company. Had leak in shower within 6 months. Called, they came out and told us it was toilet. We reset toilet and painted ceiling. A year later leak is back in ceiling. Had plumber come out leak was shower all along. Plumber said this should have been obvious to a professional installer. Called for 6 weeks requesting they come out and fix since they told us wrong the first time we called about leak. Left messages for owner. No return calls. Highly recommend not using this company.

I do not recommend purchasing anything from this company. I noticed that at least one 5-star review is from “Lonnie Walker,” which is the same name as the vice-president of the company.I purchased custom cabinets from Affordable Kitchen and Bath (AKB) in June 2022. I was advised that it would take approximately two to three months for the cabinets to be built because of backlogs due to COVID. I began reaching out to AKB for status updates in August 2022, only to be told that the designer that I was working with (Amy) was no longer with the company. I began talking to Lonnie, AKB’s vice president, who told me that it would take a little more time for the cabinets to be completed. In December 2022, I was told that the cabinets were completed and on their way. However, on the week of their supposed arrival, Lonny told me that the cabinets “fell of the truck” and would have to be remade. My girlfriend went to speak with Lonnie directly and asked to look at the cabinets to see if any of them were salvageable. She was told that the cabinets were not there and they had no pictures or other proof to support their story.Installation for the “new” cabinets began in March 2023. However, the installation crew informed me that my refrigerator did not fit into the kitchen because the space between the wall and the cabinets intended to account for the refrigerator was too narrow. Lonny insinuated that the issue was my fault, because I had signed off on the initial plans with Amy in 2022. The plans made with Amy were contingent on an official measurement of the kitchen. The refrigerator was there when the official measurements were taken by someone hired by AKB. Although Lonnie gave me a $500 credit. I was forced to sell the refrigerator, which was less than a year old, at a loss on Facebook Marketplace, and purchase a smaller refrigerator. The job was completed in April 2023, after the countertops were installed. In November 2023, I was called by the subcontractor for the countertop installation, who told me that he had not been paid by AKB after months of calls. The subcontractor told me that his last recourse would be to file a mechanic’s lien against my property. I asked him to give me some additional time before filing his lien in court. I immediately contacted Lonnie, who told me that he would pay the subcontractor and send me a lien waiver. After not hearing from him in the promised timeframe, I went to AKB in person and Lonnie promised me that I would receive a lien letter from him on December 4, 2023. On December 6, I was contacted by Britt, who told me that that were working on the lien wavier, but were having trouble confirming if I had paid in full. I provided him with the payment information on my receipt, which they were having trouble locating. Later that day, Britt confirmed my account was paid in full, but indicated that due to personal issues, he probably would not be able to finish my lien waiver that day. I contacted both Lonnie and Britt on December 7, without response.I went to the AKB showroom on December 8 to get answers. I spoke with Lonnie, who told me that I had nothing to worry about regarding the subcontractor. Lonnie promised me that he had recently spoken with the subcontractor, and was in the process of paying him. Before leaving the AKB parking lot, I called the subcontractor, who told me that he had not spoken with anyone from AKB in six months. Obviously, Lonnie had lied to me right in my face. I returned to the AKB showroom, and gave the phone to Lonnie with the subcontractor on speakerphone. The subcontractor, realizing his narrow chance to get paid, demanded his check in person that day to avoid it getting “lost in the mail.”AKB was wholly unprofessional, lied on numerous occasions with no accountability, didn’t keep accurate account records, and expected customers to pay for their mistakes. I do not recommend using them and I hope my experience will dissuade others from getting the same bad experience I had.

We have found Affordable Kitchens and Baths to be both unprofessional and dishonest. We paid them in full for materials and 20% installation in April 2022, for a kitchen remodel that was to begin in July 2022. After three months of calling and being put off, they finally started our remodel on October 17, 2022. The day they began we received a call from Lonnie, VP of operations, for a check for an additional 60% of install which we provided. The man that showed up to demo our kitchen and hang new drywall didn’t protect our floors and left deep gouges and scratches throughout our hardwood. On day three he admitted that he wasn’t employed by Affordable K & B and probably wouldn’t be returning to complete the job because there was a dispute over money. Lonnie Walker contacted me the same day to ask for additional funds to which I declined. The drywall was atrocious. He left 4 inch gaps at the bottom of each wall. He drywalled over electric outlets and exhaust duct for microwave. He did not remove any door casings instead cut and removed drywall close to casings leaving large gaps and gouges. When he began to instal cabinetry the first one out of the box was damaged. We were told there would be a 7 day rush for a replacement. The lower cabinets were installed but an additional upper double cabinet was ordered incorrectly and had to be replaced and another piece was damaged. So, we were told that in one week or so, they’d be back to complete the kitchen with cabinet replacements. THEY NEVER CAME BACK! For 6 weeks we were told the replacements weren’t in. They literally worked 8 days in our home but were paid in full for material and 80% installation. They did enough to make it possible to have the quartz installed but knew they wouldn’t be returning. They stopped taking our calls. We asked a friend who’s an attorney to send letters to negotiate at the very least the replacement cabinetry that we’d paid for. They wouldn’t give them to us. After being left without a kitchen for 3 months we were tasked with hiring another company to repair mistakes, order replacement cabinetry and complete the remodel. We spent an additional $10,000. Five months to the day after demo began, our kitchen was completed! We contacted the Attorney General, BBB (who agreed that they hadn’t tried in good faith to finish our remodel) and we still had to hire a lawyer to litigate this matter as Affordable didn’t even respond to them for months. Please do not use this company! *Pictures show where drywall did not meet floor, gouges and scratches from demo and where drywall had to be cut out to find electric outlets that had been drywalled over.*

This company does wonderful work! Kind, knowledgeable and professional. My brother-in-law had his kitchen remodeled by them and it is beautiful! I can't wait to have them working on my house. They are sadly being targeted by a troll spreading lies. Please do not believe them. This is a company very worthy of your business. And Yelp, seriously? The review from a woman in Montgomery, Texas? Wrong Affordable K&B. Move that review to the business in Montgomery Texas which happens to have the same name but has nothing to do with the one in St. Peters Missouri. It is unfair of you to have this review attached to this business.

DO NOT do business with AKB! The worst for communication, job ********************** service. ***************************** - son of ***********************, sadly runs things now so you have no choice but to work with him if you do business here. Our process began for a *************** back in March and we're now over 7 months. Originally told 6 weeks! Gave down payment and told 13 weeks. At 9 weeks, hadn't heard anything & stopped by the store for an update. Finally, they came to do the final measurements Red flag -cash or check only. July 17-no work again, we stopped by -more excuses. Asked for the owner to call us. 5 months later for the first time EVER we heard from Brit. Told us others were waiting longer than us. Not a good sign. Things looked like they were finally going to be completed the week of Aug. 14 - NOT. The doors on backwards & not aligned, holes in the onyx walls, shower fixture (wrong one) was loose, caulking job horrible, and the fan never connected properly. Vanity was defective. We have not been able to use or turn the water on. Contacted **** and ***********************, owner of Mission Contracting immediately with email, pictures and a phone call as the guys left saying \

CANNOT stress enough how much we would NOT recommend this company! The worst for communication, job performance & customer service. Britney Callier - son of Dave Callier (business owner) sadly is running things at AKB now so you have no choice but to try and work with him if you do business here. Our whole process started for a new shower and vanity back in March and we're now over 7 months and counting. We were originally told 6 weeks! Gave the down payment on Mar 21 and told 13 weeks. At 9 weeks we hadn't heard anything so we stopped by the store for an update and this finally got them to do the final measurements and was told it would be delayed on account of materials still needing to be ordered even though they cashed our check within 2 days. Red flag -they only take cash or check -now we and others know why. Hadn't heard a word again so July 17 we stopped by the store to be met with more excuses. Asked for the owner to call us. Finally, on Aug. 2nd, 5 months later for the first time EVER we heard from someone. Told us others were waiting longer than us. Not a good sign and not told to us up front. Things looked like they were finally going to be completed the week of Aug. 14 only to be left with a horrible installation, The doors were put on backwards leaving holes in the shower walls, the doors were not aligned, the shower fixture (wrong one) was loose (videoed this) caulking was so bad any amount of water would get behind and ruin the walls. The fan was never connected properly and the vanity we were told was defective so we never saw that. We have not been able to use or even turn the water on. We contacted Brit and John Dolence (owner of Mission Contracting) immediately with email, pictures and a phone call as the guys left saying "enjoy your shower". We were told it would be about 2 weeks and they would replace and send new guys. Again, no communication & numerous unanswered emails so Sept 21 we stopped by the store and videoed the encounter. Rudely, we learned that our replacement materials were in and nobody bothered to call. For Real! Feeling scammed, we've had to contact the BBB, the Attorney General's Office and now a private lawyer. Brit has been rude, patronizing, and condescending during this process. We did a google review and from that, we have now met and come into contact with others in the same situation as us with AKB since Brit has taken over. Brit actually lied and told the Atty. Gen. we have a fully functional shower and he knows we do not! AKB is denying us a refund to hire someone else and John said he has someone in mind to replace the work, but Brit refuses to let him return to honor the original contract. We call this breach of contract. Best advice- wish we had, is DO NOT buy from this dishonest unscrupulous company. They have our money plus some and we do not have a functional shower. Just hostility, excuses & delays.

We had a great experience at affordable kitchen and bath. Donna designed us a great kitchen that was custom to what we wanted. The cabinets are real solid wood, not cheap plywood you find at other places. We had a misunderstanding about delivery time and Lonnie went above and beyond to resolve it by delivering cabinets himself the next day. We installed it ourselves but we’re very pleased with the quality.

UPDATE: 7/25/23Still no word from Affordable Kitchens & Baths, so on July 17 we stopped into the store for an update. Of course our shower and vanity are still “in production”.Lonnie said, with a shrug of the shoulders, that we “may not have them until September” and “others have been waiting longer than us.” Our initial lie of a 6 week wait for a shower and a vanity has literally turned into 6 months and once again nobody from the store has called to update us. No communication. No compensation. No apology. We have had to physically stop in the store at the end of each deadline to see what’s going on only to be met with more excuses and further delays. On our last visit on the 17th we also requested for the store owner to call us to come up with some sort of resolution. He should also know who he has hired to run his store into the ground. As of July 25… no word from anyone!7/10/23We would give Zero stars if we could. We started the process of ordering a new shower and vanity on March 13th. We are still waiting. We were originally told it was going to be about 6 weeks, and then when we finalized and put the deposit down on March 20th we were told it could be up to 13 weeks. We were disappointed in the time jump, but said okay that’s fine. In May, after 9 weeks of not hearing anything from anyone, I stopped into the store to see how things were going. This got them to finally send the contractor out for final measurements. Then again, in early June, I stopped in the store and was told it’s still in production. Their reply to my frustration was a shrug of the shoulders and they basically told me that’s the way it goes without any sort of apology. After that I had asked for Lonnie to call me with an update. As of July 10th I still have not heard a word. Months of zero communication, no apology, and no compensation. This has left us incredibly frustrated and dissatisfied with this company. They have our money and we still don’t have a shower.

We placed an order and paid for cabinets on 12/15/22. We are still waiting for them, it’s been 5 months. We were originally told it would be 6 weeks but could be a little longer because of the holidays. 2/16 called and told they would be in 3/20. Called on 3/24 and we were told they should be in next week. During this time no one attempted to call and update us. We had to keep calling to see what was going on. Finally, April 28 someone actually called us and said they should be ready in a few days. We are still waiting for them.

I went to Affordable Kitchen and Baths 10 days ago. I sent in a drawing of what I wanted 9 days ago and I haven’t heard a word.I sent an email this week asking if I could expect a response or was my job too small. Still no response. This would have been about $5000+ worth of business but it’s their loss.Very disappointed!!
