As a vendor, I cannot recommend Windows on Washington. I've worked there several times without issue, but have heard horror stories.A few months ago I was assisting with a setup and saw the owner shout and point in the face of a young wedding planner who had done nothing wrong. After speaking to her, the venue confirmed a setup time for her that they did not honor, and they were mad at HER for arriving "early" and asking for help.Nobody should be shouted at, we're all team players in the STL wedding vendor scene and his behavior was inexcusable.TL:DR, WIndow's staff and owner are rude and will treat your vendors like trash. We don't want to work there.

Windows on Washington is an interesting venue and presented well during the daytime walkthrough. The evening of the event however, guests were welcomed to a dark lobby and hallway giving the impression they were closed for the night. With minimal signage and no greeter directing guests to the correct floor and no welcome champagne as promised, first impressions for our guests were disappointing. One of the two bartenders was often absent, away handling other duties, causing long lines at the bar throughout the evening. The agreed to event timeline was not followed by the service captain and staff. A very long gap between the salad and the entree caused guests to begin milling about and refreshing their drinks at the bar, sending the father of the bride searching for food. This delayed his speech which he delivered having only eaten half of his meal. Some tables lacked rolls or butter or both. There was no coffee or tea service with the cake. What we were promised during the planning process and what we received the day of the reception was very different. At the end of the evening shuttle buses were MIA. We were told they were stuck in traffic even though our guests' ride shares (that they resorted to) had no trouble getting through. Traffic was problematic early in the evening but not at the end. They definitely over-promised and under-delivered. Management and Owner (Tom Klein) were non-responsive, made excuses and blamed us for any mishaps. Had they taken ownership for the issues we would have at least given them 3 stars as there was some good with the bad.

10/7/2023, SaturdayHad encounter with a horrible manager, coworker and office worker. These people are an absolute terrible representation for this venue. If zero stars were available that's what it would be, zero. If they don't want to work then they shouldn't work at windows on washington.

Great venue and I loved the staff the food was excellent and the staff was the most helpful and I loved the backdrop and on top of it all they had a colossal champagne bottle on the front of the building I would highly recommend to any one with a party upcoming

I had sent her so many emails about the situation I was having and she worked so hard to accommodate. The venue is absolutely stunning and everything about it is like a dream. Highly recommend this venue for any event and a huge thank you to them for being such an open and caring team.

Attended wedding and reception. Decent venue, but I think they need speakers installed so when doing the wedding the sound isn't all from behind the attendees; could also lower the need for the music to be so loud, even younger people were saying it was too loud. The meal was ok, but the fish was over cooked (dry) and the chicken had a weird coating and the spinach inside was too mushy for some people. Overall we felt pretty safe going to/from car which is great considering the problems in the city.

I had my graduation party here and it is one of the best venues i’ve ever been to. Very nice and orderly, definitely one of the best places to have a celebration. I would recommend to anyone and everyone thinking about coming here!
