If you want to feel like you're in a fever dream, visit this Walmart after dark. I was trying to find chain/machinery oil but that aisle the app said it was didn't even exist. A nice employee helped me, but after 45 minutes he just started breathing heavily and whimpering. The produce also is NOT organic and it looks organic, if you know what I mean. Also at one point a child ran up and stole my mayonnaise from my cart, opened it and ate a handful. Pure chaos.

This is about the Shrewbury Walmart. They are horrible. The place is never well stocked. They also need to invest in some customer service training. I approached an associate for assistance but she was on her phone and didn't show interest in helping me. If you are working you shouldn't be on your phone. One time a cashier checks me out and she was on the phone the entire time. Not a good idea when dealing with money. It shouldn't be allowed. The place is always cluttered with boxes and a disorganized mess. The only department that is exceptional is the pharmacy. They should let those associated train the other departments. I have chosen to travel 15 minutes to the Kirkwood Walmart. This site is always clean, well stocked and the associates are very helpful and I haven't noticed anyone on their phone.

I means it walmart, what do u really expect? But as far as walmarts near stl this one is def one of the better ones. The damn checkout is always ridiculous, but I figure if they are going to make me work and ring myself out if I miss something that's on them! I think their was 1 maybe 2 people actually checking. Otherwise both corrals where all the electronic self-check are had about 6 workers per area. Why don't they just use some of them to open more registers?!? NOPE! Instead they let them stand around playing off. Ugh anyways besides that their prices are way better then schnucks. The meat is always great quality for a discount store. The only time I go to schnucks anymore is if I need a specific item that walmart doesn't carry.

Terrible Walmart, especially the people in back bringing orders out to the customers. Very poor customer service.

Many products are either out of stock or expired. Customer Service ... so that you can return that milk you picked up yesterday that expired last week ... well they're hoping someone might show up by 9am so you can return that item. If not, just come back later... and again even later... maybe tomorrow would be better.

Looks like a "nice" Walmart but good luck if you need anything that might be locked up. You will wait around. There's no efficiency, the place is understaffed and the staff that's there just aimlessly pages other people instead of helping directly.

It's hard not to laugh at the employees laziness at this location. Just come prepared for poor attitudes and the lowest levels of work ethic you've ever seen and you'll survive. Thanks Walmart for always creating an experience!

The single worst 2 hours of shopping (should have been 15 minutes) I have ever experienced. I can't name one facet of this store that is positive. Lack of inventory. Completely disorganized with products on the floor and scattered on shelves. Unresponsive associates with no knowledge. Wholly inefficient checkout system and excruciatingly long lines. Inept customer service dept. Poorly structured parking lot.

Found a coffee maker for $59 when i rang it up it showed $69. When i told the attendant about the price mistake he wippes out his scanner and scans it and tells me "thats what the price is". I persisted and said theres a sighn on the display thats shows $59. He walks me back to the display where i prove to him im not lying and show him the sighn. We then proceed to the checkout where he is clearly unhappy about giving me a $10 differance in the price. Stores should not treat everyone like there cheats and lyers. Ive always hated walmart and had i not had a gift card to use i whould literally have not gone here. After seeing the reviews this store is obviously crap. I dont know if anyone reads these but just in case BUYER BEWARE.

Way back in the 1900s i would argue with my Pro UNION father about Walmart He stated they would squeeze the little people out of business then become unresponsive to community standards and raise money while working people at "slave" wages. I thought he was foolish. Well Shrewsbury Walmart, you are the reason i need to call my father tonight and apologize and explain that he was correct. I just cant believe that all the lines are self service. I see 80 and 90 year olds, people with low vision, people with multiple kids, trying to be tellers. it is so sad. I am thinking about setting up a community organization to help volunteer to check people out. It doesn't seem to help with the lines, it defiantly doesn't decrease the bill. I see several people working, who just are really talking to them self's and pointing to registers when they notice your in line. I don't see why i ever need to go back. I will take my foolish self to the small mom and pops around town and hope they build back up. We are moving our pharmacy out of there, and we REALY love those folks in Pharmacy, they are VERY helpful. Perhaps the Pharmacy people should become the executives of Wal-Mart and maybe it will have a chance. One day when Walmart is gone, Like sears, Burger King, Mullets, and the 1900's, I will go on up and fish at the pond behind Walmart and tell my grand-children about how bad it can get when you try to save a few dollars. Now... onto the Walmart online page and let them know how Walmart just sent my wife a nice new Christmas phone in a bubble wrap package with no box or instructions, and the wrong charge cord thrown in. When tried to activate it and we were told that we cannot. It is actually some one else's phone and the other number is still attached to it. We then chatted with customer service at walmart and the robot on the chat line asked if we tried to plug the phone in yet. They ( notice the the pronoun is correct for male, female, or robot) quickly refunded our money so they could sell it some other person as new. They didn't refund the money for the protection plan who would not want to have an awesome protection plan, even after we we send the phone back. DAmmit WALMART, you owe me for making me call my father and apologize.

What greedy idiot in Bentonville thought "Let's have an all self-service Walmart?" If you've got PLENTY--and I mean lots and lots and lots--of time to waste, come here. There a lot of people who SUCK at self checkout who NEED a cashier. Even by the stupendously slow, don't-give-a-shit-about-customers service of a usual Walmart this is horrible. DO NOT BELIEVE MY ONE STAR RATING. This place is ZERO STARS. Negative stars if that's an option. Avoid.

This Walmart is terrible. I went there today for some back to school items. The entire front is converted to self check out. There was no where to be checked out by an employee. So frustrating and annoying. I feel like I should be getting paid to do that. When I entered the self check out there were 5 employees just hanging out and having a good time looking at their phones. Wth? If you have time to look at your phone, you have time to stock or clean. Also, I was here last December, the Saturday before Christmas, and someone tried to carjack me in the parking lot. Thankfully I fought him off.
