my child was only going for 6 weeks . I thre her into a new school so I knew she would have an issue transitioning to the school. Melissa & Paula the teacher in the turtle roôm were great and patient with her . they understood what was going on with her . but Teri the "main " person made it seem as though she was just so bad and she made a comment on the phone about her behavior . when I knew she wasn't this bad . she just didn't want to deal. she told me the ratio to kids is 1:10 which is not enough teachers . when I asked for a refund and asked if she was kicking her out . she said she would give me time but yet you still want me to pay you . and call me when you " feel like you can't deal with her " my child doesn't have behavior issues . Terri isn't a phd person who can diagnose any child of anything . my child has her moment like any other but because she didn't conform to Teri's time of transitioning to the school my child was forced out . he either school didn't even have issues with her as Teri is making it seem like she is not controllable . I'm filing a state complaint , BBB complaint and more . One teacher shouldn't even work around children she can barely walk or move around the children . and I witnessed her grabbing the children in an aggressive manner . took a video and pic myself while I was there. so I hope they can explain that !

(During the pandemic) Within the first week of my child attending daycare for the first time as a 3 year old, I picked her up with a busted, untreated lip and runny nose. The following 3 weeks she had 2 scraped knees. After the teacher said, that bumps and bruises were a sign that the kids were having a good time...I immediately pulled my child out. Neglectful and dangerous without accountability. This is my 2nd attempt at posting, which it seems to get removed.

I inquired about The Westport Preschool program. I called and spoke with someone. She was rude and unprofessional. Lastly, she also provided different information from what is on The Westport School website. I decided to pass and not waste my time.

This school is wonderful!!!! My daughters first day was emotional but Mrs. Linda and Mrs. Erin knew exactly what to do to help her feel comfortable and over time they created a bond. My daughter has since moved to the bear class and the teachers are just as great! I am so thankful we found this school!

Management is unprofessional and not-caring. Just know that the smiles you see during the "interview day" will be the last time you see it. Your questions will also be answered only then. What's really sad is the fact that older/pre-k children do NOT receive any intellectual stimulation. This place should not have word "school" associated with it at all, as there will be no teaching. I do have to say that the ladies that watch younger children are very nice and sweet.

I would recommend The Westport School. Our son has been in attendance for over 3 months in the infant room and I love the teachers. He smiles everyday when he sees his teachers and friends. They communicate well, are professional and even though they are larger than some of the other centers I have visited I always feel right at home and like my son and I are very important. So glad Westport / Maryland Heights area has such a great school/daycare.

My daughter has been attending this daycare since she was a little over one year old. She is now almost 4 years old. It has been a great safe, fun and educational environment for her. Kriss, Jen, Trish, Melissa, Leah, Terri, Carrie are great with the kids, my daughter was able to get into a good routine (snacks in the morning then lunch then nap time). Here the children are encouraged to be independent and learn to feed themselves; my daughter was able to feed herself soon after she turned two years old and get potty trained by 2.5 yrs. She also learned to play well with other children and "take turns"-something that most toddlers have a hard time doing.I also enjoyed receiving pictures of my daughter that teachers took during their activity and party times. Teachers keep their kids entertained and happy! Susan and Jim were good in management and were able take care of our request whenever we asked for it. Overall I'm very glad that my daughter was surrounded by love and was brought up in such a positive and fun environment.Thank you Westport School. We will miss this place!!

I have had two children at The Westport School for nearly five years now. In that time, the staff there has been nothing short of wonderful. There's a lot of heart at Westport School, and it shows in the way that teachers like Ms. Melissa, Ms. Terri, and Ms. Donna have cared for and helped to guide my children throughout their young lives. Never once have I worried about my kids' happiness in their care, and they have always been more than gracious with their time when I had questions about behavior or progress. With my youngest child currently in the Pre-K program, I am confident he will excel when he starts Kindergarten next fall just as his brother did, but also just a little sad knowing our time here is almost at an end.

We've sent our 3-year-old to daycare/pre-school here for about 6 months, and only pulled him out because of a change in our financial situation. We were very happy with the care he received, the confidence he gained, and the skills he started to grasp while attending. Ms Terri and Ms Carrie were wonderful teachers and were very patient with our kid (he could be a bit sensitive, especially in noisy, new situations). All the staff were very friendly and helpful, as well as tuned into details about what each child liked, needed, etc to have a good experience there. They'd still stop and interact and have a conversation even if the child wasn't in their classroom. Also, they have great playgrounds and get the kids outside at least twice a day (weather-permitting). Overall, great experience and we were sorry to have to leave!

Our family is grateful for Westport School. ALL OF THE STAFF ARE AMAZING! We are so grateful for the care and nourishing they provide our children. It is so refreshing to find friendly, professional, educated and caring staff. When we go to work, we have the peace of mind that our children are receiving the best care while they are away from family. One our son's is six years old and he attends before and after school. Westport School has "camp" with the children, and the keep them busy inside and outside of the while attending. Also, they already have a full summer planned with educational and recreational activities. Thank you Westport School, from our family to yours!!!! Jes and Margaret C

Absolutely phenomenal! Top notch teachers and staff. This school is AMAZING! My son was having difficulty at another school and we brought him to Westport. He absolutely loves the school and what he is learning there amazes me everyday. I highly recommend Westport to anyone looking for child care in a learning environment.

It has become a second home to us and the staff has become our second family. They encourage my child everyday and help to create a strong sense of self esteem. Great teachers and management..

Management and Teachers are very nice people. Jim is running this school for 40 years! and he is very nice man. Director Ms.Suzanne is very welcoming and preschool teachers Mr.Terri and Ms.Cary are kids friendly. And I like the flexibility of school hours 6:30 am to 6:30 pm. You can drop your child anytime between those business hours.

My son has been going to Westport School since he was 11 months old. He's nine now. Ms. Suzanne and Ms. Donna has been employed there the entire time. They are like family to us. My son is now in 4th grade attending before and after care. I don't worry about him because I know he's in good hands.Suzanne is the Director of the school and has been a great resource to me for child development issues.I highly recommend them. Can't imagine my son being anywhere else.
