Poor value for the money. Hotel needs updating. Outdoor Setting is nice. Service is lacking.
Rooms: Out of date, outlets did not work, no mini bar, bed uncomfortable, shower curtain. Expect more for $300+ per night.
Food & drinks: Dined at outdoor bar. Very forgettable. Poor service, super slow. Food was just ok. Definitely expected more for the price
Noteworthy details: Nice at front desk. But everyone I spoke to had to ask their manager even regarding the smallest questions. Location was nice. Resort fee is a rip off unless ur traveling with small children who want to swim. You can Park around the corner for 50% less. Overall we just expected more the price.

Traveled to St. Louis for a client meeting and video shoot, and I stayed at the Royal Sonesta Chase Hotek in the downtown area. It was only about 15 minutes or so from the airport and had a lot of surroundings. From retail shops, dispensaries, parks, and more. The restaurants on site were good, but they seemed to be overwhelmed both nights. I stayed there. The room was great, but I did find an empty mug in my room.upon check I'm. I assumed it was the housekeepers. It was a very nice hotel and the staff were amazing. There was an issue with my reservation, and they fixed it immediately without any interruptions. It also has resident guests that love on one side, and if you look.uo the property, there have been some well-known names in history that have stayed here. Overall, my stay was great, and I would come back. There are plenty of restaurants on site and an actual movie theater, too. Very sweet spot.
Rooms: Large and clean rooms woth views.
Safety: Very nice area to walk around
Walkability: Plenty of spots to walk to and chill.
Food & drinks: Plenty of restaurants and sports bars
Noteworthy details: Movie theater on site.

Rooms are clean and spacious. An older hotel remodeled fairly well. Missing modern electric and USB power sockets.

Great hotel in a great location. We checked out and left an item in the night stand. I called two weeks later and security had our item. Impressive! Movie theater is nice, pool is great and restaurants and bars also great. Straubs is right across the street where you can pick up snacks, wine and groceries.

Gifts from God! Every single person I came in contact with was absolutely amazing and delightful and extremely caring. Jonathan was truly a blessing, with a calming presence that was appreciated beyond belief (God bless you if you see this!)
I was in STL for a church conference and while booking I did not book the correct dates I realized 3 weeks out and understandably The Plaza was booked. Unfortunately I had to book a different hotel for a night and the only available hotel I could find in the area was a total nightmare. My room was broken into and by the grace of God I am here! (Please stay away from Marriot near the airport.. After trying to make a police report I found out I was never in their system… please beware. Especially ladies who travel solo!!!!)
Back to The AMAZING PLAZA- I called and explained my situation and without hesitation I was told my room would be available right away. When I arrived I was gently greeted by Jonathan who was extremely graciously aware of I had just experienced which was something I could never repay or put a price on.
My stay was wonderful along with my room, not one thing I can say about my stay. I was tucked away in the most perfect room with great views which was so appreciated and helpful. I was in such peace and serenity staying in the safety of The Plaza.
I will say down to the guys working the parking garage- comedians in the best way possible!
You will not regret staying here!
Thank you for true hospitality as well as your wonderful hearts,
With gratitude,
Alyssa Espinoza

Absolutely one of the finest places you can stay in St Louis.
Great location and walking distance to great shopping and dining. Forest Park across the street if you want to walk or jog and an amazing movie theater on site (great popcorn!).
Highly recommended!

We had a great experience at the Chase. We’re able to pay for early check-in at 10 AM. Toia F at the front desk was amazing with suggestions for food in the area and activities for our trip. We booked through our credit card company, a deluxe King, we got a corner room. It was nicly decorated, although some overhead fans or fans in general would really help with air circulation. The pool was very nice and the service was also great. didn’t get to use it but it’s a movie theater on site if the weather has not been great. Overall was great and the central west end was a great area to stay in. There are tons of great food options super close and we used the metro bus successfully for 3 days.

I’m not sure if they have new front desk staff since prior reviews but I had nothing but excellent service. They were friendly, helpful and went above a beyond to give me a good experience. Shout out to Toia who was a real gem at the front desk. The pool is so fun and beautiful. Walk to tons of excellent bars and restaurants. It is historic so you it is not the fancy modern bath/shower some luxury hotels offer but honestly not an issue at all. I will definitely stay here again!

Multiple restaurants, movie theater and valet parking! My room was great and spacious. Only downfall was the front desk staff was a bit rude. Valets were awesome
Safety: I love that you have to use your key to use the elevators.
