We have been clients of the St. Louis Hills Vet clinic for over 20 years and all our pets received the best care! We rescue dogs and cats with issues and needed a clinic that offers a wide variety of veterinary expertise, including acupuncture. Dr. Erik and Dr. Stacey are the most caring and knowledgeable professionals. All staff is fantastic - helpful, caring and responsive. Over the years we had dogs with behavioral problems and the doctors and staff always found ways to comfort them and provide necessary care. We are very grateful to Dr. Erik, Dr. Stacey and wonderful staff and highly recommend this clinic!

We had been taking our two French Bulldogs to this vet for about 6 years. We did really like Dr. Eric, however, there are a couple of staff in his office who are incredibly rude and abrasive including Dr Schafer. We had a recent health scare with one of our dogs. We sought a second opinion given her age and breed to make sure this surgery was something we wanted to put her through. It turns out that the second vet agreed that a mastectomy was needed, so I contacted Dr Eric’s office to get that surgery scheduled. I spoke with Dr Schafer directly. She seemed annoyed from the start of the call. I was informed that she made all the appointments in this office and was not sure she could schedule our French Bulldog for this mastectomy. She relayed this information to me despite the fact a different staff (the week prior) had advised that Dr Eric would shuffle surgeries around to accommodate us. She stated that she had no availability until February and would consult Dr Eric about the surgery and get back with us. We never heard back. That was almost a month ago. Meanwhile, we had to take a leap of faith with a new vet that we knew nothing about. We have had concerns that we were being “nickeled and dimed” at this office for awhile. Our last vet visit was well over $500 and we were charged $35 for expressing anal glands. The lab results were also way off as we had them retested at the new clinic and they were normal. Our neighbors also sought services elsewhere as this clinic was never able to diagnose their dog’s skin condition. We are highly disappointed in this vet clinic.

This is my favorite vet in town. They provide both medical and homeopathic treatment for all sorts of pets and are one of the few vets in town that actually appear to like animals. My elderly dog got acupuncture here for the last 5 years of his life and it was a huge help. Doctor Erik is the best.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff, got us in right away when our dog was sick. The best vet I've been to in the st Louis area. They really show care and compassion for the animals and their owners.

I take my service dog here. I couldn't be happier with the staff and the Vet. If you have to wait a bit to get your furry friend on the list to come here, there's a good reason. They are the best in the City, and worth the wait.

The vets and office staff here are all wonderful. Genuinely kind and caring for our animals, making a point to be informed and sensitive to each of their special needs. There tends to be a wait when setting appointments because of availability, but for us it is well worth the wait for the quality of cat and dog care!

The team here is so friendly! I didn’t feel rushed at all and I definitely had a few questions which were all answered. This is the calmest I’ve seen my cat at the vet…! It seemed very clean and I did not notice a smell at all when I walked in like some vet clinics, so that may have helped as well as the dr and vet tech treating him like their own. Highly recommend!

I just adopted Callie, a sick rescue dog, a couple of weeks ago and needed to see a vet asap. After a week of antibiotics, she is still sick. With no history at St. Louis Hills, I happened to call when Dr. Stacey was in on her day off, and she suggested that I come in. She spent a lot of time with Callie making her comfortable and assessing her thoroughly. Callie now has meds for another week and a follow-up appointment. At a time when some vets aren’t taking new patients because they are so overwhelmed, St. Louis Hills welcomed us with open arms. Callie and I are so grateful, and we have a new vet - Dr. Stacey! ?

Dr Eric gave our older Yorkie acupuncture for arthritic joints. Helped greatly! Highly recommend this practice, which comes American and Asian veterinary medicine.
