Terrible customer service in the Monet gift shop and the large gift shop down stairs. They sent me back and forth for products because they did not know how to determine it they had specific items in stock. Went to the larger gift shop down stairs and the woman had no idea what she had in stock either. The cashier could not find anything in the back and was rude when I asked for help. I asked to speak to her manager who was in back to see if I could purchase several of the items I was looking for and because she clearly had no idea what she was doing or how to help people. I was told she could not help me. I ended up leaving without purchasing anything. I rather purchase at a different museum. My experience was so bad I did not even stay to see the Monet exhibit. I have seen the exhibit elsewhere and would rather support any other museum.

Went here just by exploring the city and MONET paintings are on exhibit now. I was so happy. I want to go back and see more. I only saw one level of the museum and fell in love. The flowers and scenery inside and out are beautiful right now since the flowers are blooming. Make sure to always look up. Sometimes paintings are on the ceiling!

Coming from the Kansas City area, I am very appreciative of art and artistic people. This was the first time going to the St. Louis Art Museum and I loved it more than KC. My son took the entire family on a scavenger hunt which made me take a second look at the artwork. The St. Louis Art Museum is gorgeous and spacious. It has a cafeteria and multiple gift shops. I loved it. I posted a few of my favorite creations and I kept some for myself to look back on. Yes, I could take pictures, I asked. When you go remember to stay behind the black line and to turn your flash off. My favorite exhibit was definitely ancient Egypt. I plan to put myself in a tomb when I die. I saw many couple on a date which is a great idea since it is down the street from the Delmar Loop. We will be back.

Very good museum gift shop. It has a unique selection of items to be purchased to mark your experience touring the exhibits at the museum. There's a large selection of artistic clothing as well as children's toys. In addition, they have a nice selection of items which replicate famous art works. I would have liked to have seen more items dedicated to visiting the museum as a memory of the experience. This is the only reason this is not a five star review.

This is a wonderful gift shop for unique items. Though the selection is naturally art themed, that doesn't limit the variety. Jewelry, scarves, statuary and desk items; projects, postcards, and puzzles; toys, trinkets, and neckties; dresses and books and more--the inventory is varied and changes with special exhibits SLAM is presenting. Museum admission is free and includes gift shop access. Parking can be a challenge. There is a small parking lot near the front entrance. However, most parking is on the street.
