My favorite saint

Today, I experienced the feeling of being welcomed with love. The two women that assisted my little boy and I were kind, patient, compassionate, generous, generous, and so much more. I'm 38 years old. I've lived in Saint Louis, MO. This was the first time I've experienced anything even close to how Jesus asked us to treat each other. I'm crying right now thinking about how sweet they were.
I rarely get out because I don't have transportation. It's hard to get anyone to take me anywhere. I've been stuck in my house for 2 months before, without anyone. This was the first time I've gotten to shop for clothes for myself in a physical store since I was in my late 20's I believe.
I met good people today. Even some customers! I wish life was like this more often, but I'm grateful to have experienced this.. this one time to know it's real.
Samantha and the young blonde woman working together at the Creve Coeur Saint Vincent Thrift Store, thank you.

Clothes about $5 per item, even Walmart and target brands. Do not buy anything if you cannot come back within three days to return it for something the SAME DAY of your return. You cannot return for store credit to use another day. You cannot return clothes with tags still on if you do not have your receipt. All of these things make it difficult to buy and return here. Do not ask the older lady with short grey hair anything, as she is very unpleasant and unhelpful. The place is overall clean and organized (except for the kids clothes, which are not worth looking through). If my last interaction there were not so needlessly confrontational, I would go there occasionally but I think I am through with this place.

If you’re looking for a deal, don’t waste your time at this location. The St. Vincent’s on Manchester used to be my favorite thrift store, but their prices have gotten too high.Often their prices are comparable to what I’d pay new/retail for the item.$2.50 for 100-pack of lines notebook paper$2.75 for cardboard storage box (shoebox size)Multiple 3-piece candle holder sets marked $7.75 for EACH piece—that’s more that $22 for a set of candle holders. That’s outrageous for a thrift store.Even among the other St. Vincent locations* the prices at the Manchester location seem to be at least twice as high.I won’t be coming back anytime soon.*compared to creve coeur, gravois, and lemay ferry

This store is similar to other SVdPs in the area. Clothing is clean, some of it is new. Large selection of toys and furniture and housewares. Section of brand new bedding and blankets. I bought a running tank top for $3.75.
