This has been the closest grocery store to me for ~13 years and it's been disappointing how downhill this store has gotten, largely since COVID. This store was never a particularly nice Schnucks, but in the past 4 years, they have stopped having hand baskets and even when other stores brought them back, this one didn't. Instead, you have to use the small carts. But at busy times, they are consistently out of these because this store vastly understaffs.
Not only do they rarely have enough people to gather carts, but at most times they only have one checker. Aside from the person watching UScan (which is now limited to 10 items or less) who, at times, is also the only person working at the service center as well. This has consistently led to the line to check out being 6-8 people long as one poor cashier tries to deal with it alone.
As such, it's no wonder that none of the staff at this store ever seem to be happy or particularly personable. Given all of the above, I try to avoid this store as much as possible. Unfortunately, this is still the closest grocery store to me.

I had to stop by the UPS store in Brentwood,I live in Richmond Heights and decided to stop in and get my shopping done at this Schnucksstore.I shop at the Maplewood Schnucks and was amazed at how bigger this store was.I had a question and had a friendly and helpful response from an Associate in one of the aisle I was in.My cashier Kris was very friendly and fast checking my items out,I had a negative response at Maplewood Wal*Mart from a checker,thanks Kris for being friendly you are an asset to the Shnucks Team.I love the Maplewood Team too but,Brentwood Team you are great! I didn't know the Woman that bagged my items but what a nice and friendly Team member too.

Very clean. Nice, helpful staff. Close to my new home. A bit pricey, but so is every other store in the country!

I felt this was My least favorite schnucks..The store has no visual appeal and seems junky and cluttered...There is no flow in the way items are arranged.. I frequent the Clayton stores and Florissant stores which is a pleasant shopping experience..
This Brentwood stores needs an internal facelift

The person working the self check out area Saturday morning, stood 3 feet behind me and watched me scan each and every item that I had. She paid no attention to ANY of the other customers. When I asked her if there was a problem, she said that she had to stand there, corporate policy. I asked if it was the policy for her to only watch me, since there were other customers there that she wasn't standing behind, nor was she watching them. She continued to blame her actions on "corporate policy". I informed her that she was soiling the customer experience. She replied that corporate didn't care about that. What a weird experience. Being a visitor from Dallas, I'm not sure if this is typical for this area of St. Louis but I guarantee Schnucks will never see another dime from me if this behavior is driven by their policy.

This is my go to Schunks it’s always clean and I can always find what I’m looking for but TODAY was really special for me my cashier name was John and he was so wholesome friendly and nice. I put my rewards number in while he was ringing out my items midway through my name must popped up on his screen because he thanked me by name. After I was done I noticed a price difference so I went to customer service he came over and called me by name and asked was everything ok offered to go with me to check the price on the shelf. Wow just great customer service. John made my day. Thanks John!!!

Smaller store but very nice. One of the stock clerks helped me find a product. The cashier was kind and thanked me for helping him bag.
