Aunya, and Marissa provide great guest service, at the front desk. We had dinner at Cibare. Amy is a fabulous server. We always prefer her or James. Dinner was very good. Thanks for a great New Years Eve!

We had a blast on our short one night stay in town for a concert. The hotel is beautiful and spacious and the staff was smiling and always polite and friendly. Rooms were ready for early check in near 1pm-ish. We did pay too much even after booking a month in advance but that's to be expected with a big name band playing in town. The parking garage was easy to get to and from hotel check in. The rooms were great. The bed thats another story. I'm a hotel brat and a Las Vegas brat. By far the worst king size bed as far as comfort. Literally felt like I was sleeping on a box or some flat hard surface. The showers are huge enough room for two or three ?. .. there is a TV in the bathroom mirror!! whoa! ?. The food was tasty we had the Burgers and we had breakfast at the Cafe too. Delicious even with limited options.. Casino paid us!!? Going home with double what cane with and I only played slots and I spent a bunch while I was there too. NICE!!! our first time and we will be back! 90% payback.. issue with room cleanliness mainly the bathroom floors.. this was bad throughout the hotel. all bathroom floors were gross. baseboards covered with old hair and old dust and dirt.. I dropped an earring in my bathroom and when I reached for it I had to stop and notice the amount of filth that isn't being cleaned from the floors. The rest was very clean... and the scent the hotel has is great like pipe tobacco and neroli throughout..RIVER CITY CASINO rocks!!?. im confused about PENN play because I received less than $2 credits on it and we spent a ton of money.. not sure what the point of the PENN play really is.Rooms: bathroom floors and baseboards are covered in hair and dirt.

Wow. What an absolute treasure. This property belongs in Vegas. Even then it would be an unforgettable luxury property. Front desk was absolutely delightful. Night auditor was without a doubt the star of the show.Rooms pure luxury. Casino was classy. Public areas impeccably designed. The only advice - add a destination spa and pool. Throw in a small shopping promenade. You will quickly become Penns Star property

Have been a frequent player and overnight guest in the psst. After an extended time away we came back tonight for a visit and to stay overnight. Never before have we been hammered with the overwhelming smells of some sort of deoderizer in the halls. Took our breath away. Had to run the gauntlet all the way to the end where our room is located by the exit. Someone obviously has never thought about those with allergies or compromised breathing when they decided to start this. Went to the desk and asked if it was something that could be shut off or at least turned down and Kelly said it wasn't but that it was started like 4 months ago. The male employee standing next to her wanted to tell me not once but 3 times he has allergies and he's allergic to everything and it doesn't bother him because he doesn't even smell it and it doesn't bother anyone else. Insinuating that it shouldnt bother us either. Seriously. Please reconsider the heavy perfume smells that you've started pumping through the halls. You could actually trigger an allergic reaction or asthma attack in an unsuspecting guest. As it is I may not even be able to finish staying the night. Paying $150 to get sick isn't a fun time. Hopefully it hasn't invaded the bedroom too much. I'll find out after we finish supper and play a few games. Pretty disappointed in this newest development here and with the reaction from the male employee.

Im old, im fat, and its not ok! Apology from housekeeping management is not sufficient! Obviously not sorry enough to comp us on bill. Very disappointed.

Really a treat! At a perfect price. We will definitely stay longer next time! The room was like a "retreat" . Niceties too cool to explain! We appreciated the friendly welcoming service... There are really good people in our midst and the River City Staff were great examples of serving hearts.

Good selection of table games and slots. There is also a good variety of places to eat within the casino/hotel. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Some hotel rooms are a bit dated, but they are clean. We enjoy going to River City.

This was a great hotel, the rooms were clean and the architecture and interior were elegant. The casino was fun, as well. Great location, not too far of a drive from major locales in St. Louis. I will definitely come and stay here again.

Cellaios Steakhouse My friends and I went to eat here. It's was so dark inside we considered going to buy a flashlight first. The we looked at the menu. I'm not sure, but I think it was like $50 for a slice of white bread... $12 more if you wanted butter on it. lol Only one of our group was satisfied with his meal... because he didn't order! He said, "I'd like to order something. Can someone loan me $200?!" My steak tasted like it was still attached to the bull. Then they had the audacity to add a mandatory tip! Seriously? Don't go here folks! One

This place is going downhill fast. Their change machines are sometimes out for 3 hours requiring you to walk to the middle of the casino. Sometimes it takes forever to get your machine fixed when it breaks down. Now they took the side lot that was used by a lot of us with handicaps and reserved it for owners and elite card holders only.

Absolutely lovely and beautiful hotel! Our room had a stunning bathroom and shower setup. Was surprised at the TV in the mirror! Ashley, the front desk lead, was so kind and accommodating with my husband and I and got us set up and checked in quickly. After a day of driving and flying, we definitely appreciated everything she did for us. We will absolutely recommend this hotel to everyone we know and be back again soon ourselves!!Rooms: So clean and high tech! 2 shower heads with a TV in the mirror. The bed was very comfortable as well!Nearby activities: A short drive to things like the arch and city museum, a very big plus while staying at this hotel!

This hotel and casino are lovely. Super fancy, nice and well kept; very upscale. The lobby is grand in its appearance and the staff is super friendly. The rooms are very clean and have a large walk-in shower. We ate at The Beerhouse restaurant and the food was pretty good. The nachos were made with beer cheese instead of nachos cheese which was not preferred and they did not have any guacamole (so these were just OK). The chicken quesadillas were very tasty and the shrimp tacos were absolutely delicious. The casino drinks were priced pretty well and the whole place had a nice and chill vibe.
