“There are other post offices closer to my home, but I choose to drive a little further to use the Des Peres facility. The staff there have been much more personable and helpful than other post offices. As others have shared, Dottie rocks passport renewals! She carefully reviewed our applications today, stapled our checks to the appropriate spot on the form, and told me when and how to check on the progress of our renewal. Thank you Dottie!”

“Of all the post offices I deal with regularly, this is one of the better ones. My only complaint is that at least once a month the "systems are down" and they lock the front door middle of the day and you're just out of luck and have to go elsewhere. Since they lock the outer doors you can't even go in to lobby to drop mail in the slot. It's odd because it seems to happen once a month and I have never seen this at other Post Offices. That said... I have seen much worse issues at other POs in the St. Louis area, so for that reason I would still rate this location higher than the others. The people who work at this location are also usually pretty friendly. I have rarely come across a staff member that is not friendly here.”

“I have recieved courteous & professional service from postal clerks, and on the other hand recieved service from rude, unprofessional clerks. This is the location assigned to my residence. So I enter with a smile my on my face, picing up and discarding tickets & receipts from previous customers. We must be the change we want to see...”

“These folks have been extremely helpful on several occasions when I needed to track down an international package. They have contacted sorting facilities, checked personally with mail carriers, and actually called me back when they said they would. People here have really gone out on a limb for me, which I never expected.”

“This post office is right next to my work, so I frequently go there. The woman that works this small post office is incredible and provides exceptional customer service.”

“The place is convenient, inside the mall. Clerk #15 or Ahmena ( Idk if I spelled her name right), I appreciate her patience in explaining procedures not only to me but to other clients too. I finished my complicated transaction smoothly with her help. I gave four stars because she was alone on a busy Wednesday”

“Had to ship a return item. It was quick and effortless. My only qualm was that I needed to tape the return label to the box and was informed that I needed to purchase my own tape.”

“I recieved exceptional customer service from the representative Ranisha and the male manager on duty. Ranisha immediately greeted with a smile and helped me solve my package issue with a positive attitude. She was professional and knowledgeable. I will be returning to this location for all my postal needs. Thank you guys again for saving the day!”

“I’ve been going here for 7 years and have always only had positive experiences. They’re always very helpful when I need to mail something weird and help me pick the right thing for my need. I accidentally grabbed an envelope that would’ve cost me like $30 to send when I meant to grab the cheap one and the guy asked me if that’s what I actually wanted before letting me start filling it out.I think the negative reviews are really just about the postal service in general. This particular spot is great.”

“G this is the worst post office I my area I’m about to share multiple experiences postmaster general needs to do something about this one get some new staff and a new postmaster in there. There staff absolutely hate their lives! Went in today 2/3/2024 tried to send certified mail to get a receipt with no postage necessary and federal law retaining to no postage on my letter envelope. Lady didn’t even look at it put the label over and tries to charge me which is a felony according to the law. Another incident I was in there mailing some stuff and I decided to take a picture of my envelope and the public lounge and one of the ladies who hate her life said I couldn’t film or take pictures inside public areas so I proceeded to film according to my first amendment They proceeded to call the police on me for the police to completely ignore me to go in and educate the postmaster of the posted rules on the wall! you guys are meant to uphold the constitution as an officer and a servant of we the people I only put five stars so my post actually gets seen because there’s so many bad reviews at this location! And absolutely please do not go to this office for your passport they’re way better places That know how to handle special American passports A.k.a. American non citizen US National passports they have no clue on the constitution and And how to actually run this post office!”

“Richard, Pam, Marcus and others are fantastic. Sorry, but Im bad on names, would ment others if I could remember names. We have used this branch for our P.O. Box and local delivery for over 14 years. Although we have had major issues lately with an address change. These issues are due to the system over all.*** Richard just spent over 40 minutes on the phone trying to solve our forwarding mail issues.***Marcus has been a great local carrier and Pam is always very nice and helpful. Others have done a great job as well. The post office as a whole has had issues over the past 4 years, but these people have been outstanding. Give them a break when you see them, the job is NOT easy.I spent several years as a subcontractor for USPS, it's not easy keeping people happy. If you ship packages with FedX chances are you'll have problems compared to USPS. UPS is pretty good though, but not up to the quality of service as the USPS.Thank you for all your service!!! Cheryl and I really appreciate it!”

“This post office location is the sorting facility for the 63122 zip code. You cannot conduct regular postal business here. You will need togo over to the retail store on Kirkwood Rd.You may need to visit this location if the post office is holding a package for you. When you arrive be prepared to ring the bell as the inner door is closed and locked. The postal worker there the day I visited was friendly and helpful.”

“PASSPORT SERVICE EXPERIENCE:I missed the coveted online renewal period (after waiting my whole life for online renewal opportunities! lol), and found myself needing to renew my hence expired passport. I read up on everything that I needed to do ahead of time, so I felt that was prepared. However, I got to the window and as the PO clerk went through his checklist, he got me on one thing - the money order. Gah! Luckily, he stated that he could sell me a money order if I could pay with cash or debit card. No problemo! I paid the expedited fees and off my data went! This was done on 29Dec. I received my new passport on 10Jan! Wow! Efficiency!I actually went back to this location with my best friend who also needed a new passport. Since she was only 4 years old on her last passport, and that passport book was forever lost, she had to start over with a new passport. Her process was a little different.1st - You HAVE to make an appointment. You can do this online via the USPS website.2nd - documents. New passports require multiple proofs of citizenship/IDs along with copies, front and back, of the original copies. (I don't know why they need all that.) Generally, the original birth certificate with the seal, social security card, driver's license. Copies of each; front and back of driver's license. If you're a married person who has taken on the surname of your betrothed, bring the marriage certificate (to prove/support why your last name differs from that on your birth certificate) and a copy of the marriage certificate. My friend also got her photo taken here. She had one taken at CVS but she liked the post office photography better so she used that photo instead. (I wish I'd done the same, because mine is definitely fugly!)Again, the young man assisting us was very helpful through the entire process. I'll be bringing my daughter here next to ensure a pleasant passport experience for her.”

“I want to give a positive to this facility. I was expecting a delivery of an important item yesterday for my business. Tracking said my mailbox was unaccessible (even though I had received mail yesterday and today.) I went to the post office to inquire about it. The supervisor called me and said it may have been mis-delivered.. At 8:30 PM, my mail person (who I believe is new) showed up at my home with my item. I greatly appreciate the fact that my mail person would come back with my item on a Friday night at 8:30 PM. I understand they are changing things up here and mistakes happen, but this location and its personnel went out of their way to get my item to me. It's great to see people who still care. Thank you Shrewsbury USPS. You all are appreciated.”

“Have had many positive experiences inside this location for many years, helpful staff and quick service. That said, the parking situation outside is consistently a nightmare and very annoying. Wish they'd find a way to carve out some more customer parking in their lot”

“There are a lot of bad ratings for the wrong location on this business listing. That being said, this is an old building (cool in its own way) that needs work in the entranceway, and I've had mixed experiences but overall positive with the staff. Still bring all my packages here when I print and attach my own pre paid labels”

“Friendly staff, well-organized. They helped my daughter pick out stamps and were do kind tp her. Also, they proactively tried to save people time by seeing if they had parcels pre-labeled.”

“I went to buy postage stamps the other day and expected the employee to be racist and rude, but she was kind, sweet, and showed me her favorite postage stamps! They are vibrant and pretty, and it's what everything looks like underneath the microscope!I'd recommend it on a Tuesday. Also as far as I know, there are two ladies working there, and I've met the nice one.”

“Bad stuff first: The hours are VERY RANDOM. They close down for lunch at times that aren’t posted. I attempted to drop off packages today and was greeted with: “OUR COMPUTERS ARE DOWN” handmade sign and locked doors. This was on a Saturday, so it’s fitting, and I still had other open post office options. There is no parking lot, so it’s street parking, but that’s never been an issue for me. You won’t find much in the way of packing supplies, so don’t expect to find priority boxes in many sizes/quantities, packing tape, etc.Next, the AWESOME stuff: this spot is very close to my place, the staff is VERY, VERY friendly, which, as we all know, is a rarity when your faced with going to the USPO. There is hardly ever a wait, and if so, it’s less than 5 mins TOPS. I once got bit*hed at by some lady that assumed I jumped the line (obviously not the case, and then offered her my spot), so this is to say that the clientele is pretty, uh, interesting, BUT the workers behind the counter are AWESOME: super efficient, helpful, and friendly. It sometimes feels like my own personal post office, as I get in and out quickly.”

“Went in today to drop off a package. The line was so long, and only 1 person working. Ray was patient and kind with everyone, and so personable and helpful! He is the kind of employee every business owner hopes for! Thank you for your kindness, Ray!”
