Meh. I had to return a pair of shoes. Visiting the brick and mortar reminded me why I prefer to shop online. My return email said I could take the shoes to any counter. The first counter had a sign preorders only even though the two sales associates were simply chatting amongst themselves and completely ignored me. So already I thought. Ugh, it’s going to be this type of experience. The sales associate at the second counter informed me “the shoe department is right over there.” and I replied “should I go there?” She reluctantly said “no I can help you”. But she was clearly bothered. Why???

Called in to get help in verifying if certain stock was on display in the kids section and was transferred around a few times till Madeline Rubin from the visual department took it upon herself to go check even though it was not her responsibility.Really appreciated it and wanted to give her a shout out

Was here with my daughter shopping for her birthday and was very disappointed with the fact that the staff in the makeup department stood around having personal conversations and not only didn't greet us but couldn't even bother to acknowledge us. We just took our business elsewhere.

I want to recognize Genesis at St. Louis Galleria store for going above and beyond in providing excellent customer service. In a last minute scramble before leaving for a trip, I was picking up an order just minutes prior to close. Genesis quickly identified I was at the wrong store and immediately recognized the inconvenience I was facing. She called the other Nordstrom store, told me to start making my way that direction, and she’d call with me an update. Minutes later Genesis called informing me she made arrangements for an after hours pick up of my order at the other store.The order was clothes purchased for the trip and since departure was early the following morning, I would had to have gone without unless Genesis took it upon herself to change my predicament. Experiences like this make for long lasting impression and loyalty. Thank you, Genesis!

I have shopped at Nordstrom for years and always enjoyed the relaxing environment, customer service and quality merchandise. My visit yesterday caused concern that if this is the direction Nordstrom is heading, I will be taking my business elsewhere. While the sales person I dealt with was good, the environment was not. Instead of a soothing atmosphere, there was loud hiphop playing through portable speakers and some of the lyrics were offensive. I hope this was a temporary lapse and not a disregard for your long term clients.

The staff was almost too nice. Wouldn't even leave us alone so we could look for the size pants we needed, almost ripping it out of our hands insisting we allow them to search for our size which they didn't even have anyway.

Laurel had the best experience in the lingerie department, because of Tay. She was warmly greeted by Tay. Laurel was impressed with her product knowledge. Tay is very personable and professional. Tay even took Laurel to a different department to help her select some other apparel! It was quite apparent to us that Tay was genuinely invested in our Nordstrom shopping experience.
