Any other trip to Viviano's, I would give them 5 stars. It's been a while since the last trip. They had greatly reduced spices, some varieties of smaller volume olive oil, and especially cheeses. My favorite and several others just were not there. I'm hoping it was due to Christmas rush.

Has a good selection of Italian food. It can be slow at the deli line there is only one or two restaurants people at the deli. Check out can be slow. The cashier was licking her fingers to open the plastic bags which is not sanitary!

Ordered the margarita pizza. It was barely cooked, looks like it was reheated in a microwave or something. The dough is just raw and taste like play dough.

If you're looking for ingredients for a beautiful lasagna or some homemade pizza or an epic cheeseboard, this is the place to go. Their deli counter will slice up the meat & cheese to your liking, and you can add olives or fresh bread or a nice bottle of cava or Chianti. The aisles are narrow and it can get a little crowded around the holidays, but that's all part of the experience. Need some 00 flour? Maybe semolina? Viviano's got you! Balsamic vinegar or olive oil? They have entire shelves dedicated to them. Imported tomatoes? Yep. The you head to the checkout with your treasure and they'll ring you up and put it all in a box for easy transport.

Viviano’s is a Don’t Miss stop on The Hill. I drive over a hundred miles one way. My advice is bring a cooler, you’ll be glad you did, and give yourself time to browse through all the sections. Wines, cheeses, olives, sauces, frozen foods, spices, etc, they don’t disappoint. Enjoy!

Our GOTO when we go home to visit Family and get all of the provisions we cant get at home - especially their tomato basil sauce and proven cheese. You just gotta go there! AND all of their staff are so very helpful - like the old times. Love them

We visit Viviano's when we visit St. Louis. There is such an assortment of Italian food items in the store that we could shop for hours! We love the deli (especially the Volpi salami) and find something we haven't tried (yet) every time we visit.

Yes Viviano's on the Hill is amazing and the people are friendly and kind and so helpful with all their products. They let me taste five different cheeses and I bought three, and I bought 1 gallon of Regina red wine vinegar for only $10.99 which I looked on Amazon and other places and they want to $24 per gallon. I recommend this place for all kind of groceries and especially important products from Italy, France, Bulgaria etc. etc. etc.

As soon as you come in the door, you get the smell of fresh bread and sauces that they make on the spot. Definitely worth it to stop in and the food.....delicious!!!

First time in the store. Sweet lady selling her cookbook. Also, the lady in the back where the cheese is located was great. It reminded me of store when I had visited Italy. The good thing, everyone spoke English! (I still love Italy)Buon Natale e Felice Anno Nuovo

I used to live in St. Louis not far from J. Viviano & Sons so I was thrilled at how little this treasure trove of wines, cheeses, pastries, olives, pasta, and cookware had changed over the years. Of course, I had to buy some mixed olive salad, the best in the world.
