Rooms: Small. Beds small. Curtains were not working so could not see the view. Only flimsy blankets on the bed.Food & drinks: Lobby restaurant - they were out of almost every Cabernet on their menu. They were out of all their tap beers. They only have 2 appetizers and were out of the one that was not just cheese.Having Ruth Cris there is nice but couldn’t get a reservation. The other hotel restaurant the Brewhouse was under construction.Noteworthy details: No self parking when we arrived and valet parking line took an hour. Brewhouse restaurant was under construction so not available. Cleaning staff just leaves trash bags next to the trash cans in the room.

This hotel brands itself as luxury 4 star hotel and it’s far from it. The lobby is beautiful and it’s in a great location those are the only pros. Now to the cons, as many others have said the parking lot was always sold out during my 3 night stay. I was charged $48+ tax for the valet. The hotel staff don’t give out any details about the hotel when checking in so as many other guest I took the wrong elevator. The room is very VERY outdated. The blinds didn’t work. I had two sinks in my room and they were clogged. There was rust on the shower and the water pressure was so low that it was really hard to use the shower head setting because the water only flowed in the shower faucet. The water temperature was always mild, never warm. There was also a lot of dust in the carpet. The bed didn’t have a bed cover which is nasty.I ended up having breakfast at the buffet and it was also a horrible experience in a very expensive “restaurant”. The glasses on my table were really dirty and stained. They were not washed at all. Same with the cutlery. Food was really cold and bland. And employee from the kitchen and a staff from the restaurant started arguing while I was grabbing my food. It was a heated discussion and the restaurant staff mentioned something like “you know we’ve talked about not doing this in front of costumers” and that’s when you know that was not the first time.I spent almost $700 dollars for 3 nights and it was far from a great stay at the hotel. First time staying at a Hyatt and definitely the last one.

If you can avoid it, don't stay here. People who work there are very nice but the hotel itself sucks really bad. Got stuck staying here because of cult volleyballs stay n play policy where tournament directors get a kickback. Parking is a huge bait n switch scam. They screw you into having to pay for valet. Elevators are a joke. Out of 8 of them only 4 worked. We were not allowed to use escalator. Ice machine provided no ice. Bed was very small. Valet waiting room smelled like a Louisiana swamp. I found a cart for check out and the bellhop wouldn't let me use it. At check out they tried to charge me for a 4th night even though was there for 3. Couldn't get a late checkout which is no surprise and then gave us incorrect prices for parking where we had to move our cars. I guess none of this will matter. Nothing will change as long as Hoplamazian makes his huge profits. Never staying at a Hyatt again.Food & drinks: A 12 ounce bottle of Coors light was only $6.75 at their hotel bar.

The staff was amazing and very helpful, the room was very nice and my only complaint is the bed is very hard to sleep on and if I come back I need to bring my own bed or mattress

Great stay. Valet parking is not valet parking. They take and you retrieve. Never ran into that before.

First, we didn’t have the “privilege” of paying $50 for the hotel parking garage because it was sold out. The other option was a price garage down the street that was insanely complex and narrow to navigate. Next, the thermostat was malfunctioning. The room was very cold but we finally got it to work on day 2. No one answered the phone when calling from out room. Next, the shower water was lukewarm. Next, the concierge guy greeted us with “Whats up boss”. Overall I horrible stay

My 3 star rating had nothing to do with the quality of the hotel or the service that I received from the staff. I am a truck driver who has been making pickups and deliveries to and from the hotel for over 30 years and I just don't like visiting hotels from what I consider the back end of the the house.

It's midnight and kids are running up and down the halls. Management doesn't do anything. We are in town for a wedding. Avoid this hotel at all cost.

We stayed here last year and loved every minute. This year was disappointing to say the least, and we won't be back. It started with a long and painful check in process at 11:45pm when we were exhausted from traveling. As a Hyatt rewards member we are usually offered breakfast vouchers, but we weren't and didn't remember to ask until the last day so missed out on that. The elevators and hallways were littered with trash that didn't get cleaned up. The bathtubs (in both our rooms) had peeling paint that stuck to my kid's skin. Ew! The atmosphere in the lobby on New Year's Eve was uncomfortable. Seemed like a crowd showed up for a nightclub, but was just loitering. There wasn't an actual party. There was a traffic jam getting to valet parking so we went around to garage and the valet wouldn't let us park. Overall felt like a two star hotel and not what we were expecting from a Hyatt Regency.***Edited to add the parking is indeed a scam--like many other people have mentioned in reviews! We were told at check in that the valet parking would be covered due to globalist status. Instead, we later noticed a credit card charge ($300ish) for valet parking for BOTH of our rooms (we only had one car for which the front desk employee said we wouldn't be charged). After spending much too much time on this, they refunded one room valet charge, but haven't refunded the rest. Ridiculous.

This is really a motel that somehow gets away calling itself a 4-star hotel. Their lobby is nice and their gym is well-equipped, but that's pretty much all that's nice about this hotel. As soon as we checked in and walked in the room, we saw poop in the toilet. Carpet was dirty with white stains on, there was dust all over the lamps, one of the lights was not working, something like black mold was all over the shower floor, etc. We had an Arch view room that was really tucked in the corner overlooking hotel's other tower. We had to go to the corner of the window to get a glimpse of the Arch. During the one week we stayed there, there were 2 seperate back to back large catholic conventions in the hotel. Had to wait for at least 15 minutes each time just to get an elevator, people were running in the hallways and screaming at random times throughout the night including 3am and 5am and constantly waking us up. This was pretty much the worst hotel experience we've had, when we were expecting a 4-star hotel experience.

My husband and I drove for more than 8 hours and we were so excited to have a good sleep BUT we didn't expect the disaster ahead of us in staying in this hotel.Their crew great but lack of system. My husband and I arrived at 11pm. Someone brought our things in our room but it took them 20 minutes to bring it. If we didn't call, we could have waited longer than that. The crew just got our stuffs without asking our room number. We called the front desk and ask for our things. They told us that they had the procedure on how our stuffs delivered in our room but they didn’t tell us the moment we check in the first place. 1st negative experience but we let it slide. Our nightmare started when we started sleeping. 11:30pm, we could hear the loud music from their hall. The sound of the base gave me headache. Finally, my husband and I fell asleep but at around 1am, there were bunch of highschool/ College students making so much noise in the hallway. Literally screaming. We were again, tolerant about the situation. Until my husband and I couldn’t sleep anymore and they were still making screaming and laughing at 2:30am. We then decided to call the front desk, nobody answered for 30 minutes. 3:00am, finally, someone answered. The security finally ask these kids to stay in their rooms. You would think that they would stop. But no, they freaking didn’t. They did the same over and over again. Until 6am. My husband started being sick because of lack of sleep. And guess what, we still have to drive 6 home. We wanted to have some time to explore St. Louis but we just decided to drive straight home because my husband started getting fever. IT WAS SERIOUSLY A BIG DISAPPOINTMENT AND I WAS SO ANGRY ABOUT THIS SITUATION.I honestly didn’t care of the hotel’s complimentary. It would never bring back the fact of us driving for 14 hrs without sleep.I hoped on that day for the management to do something to make those kids hold accountable, but guess what, those kids were staying another day. SO MANY GUESTS COMPLAINED OF THEIR RUDENESS BUT THEY GET TO STAY ANOTHER DAY! GREAT!I WILL NEVER STAY IN THIS HOTEL ANYMORE ESPECIALLY THAT THEY HAVE A FUNCTION HALL! SURELY, THIS WILL HAPPEN AGAIN FOR SOME OTHER GUESTS!
