I took a Royal Mariner ships clock to this business on February 19, 2020. I still have the claim ticket. I needed it repaired. The clock was my grandfather's and father's. It is approximately 70 years old. Shortly after the clock was left with the owner, Covid hit and St. Louis County went into lock down. As a Health care worker I was involved in Covid response and was working 7 days a week through March of the following year. Given the pandemic I did not follow up with the clock shop other than several attempts to call the business to determine the status of the clock. The business phone for the clock shop either has a full in box when you call, or when it doesn't, your messages are not returned. I left messages when I was able to and to date have never recieved a call back. After Covid lockdowns were reversed and things improved - I began making trips out to the shop to try to have a conversation with the owner. Every time I would go I would either arrive when it was closed or arrive and find it closed during business hours. Finally on April 11, 2023 I called and the owner answered. When I enquired about my clock - giving him the claim ticket number- he said that he didn't know where the clock was. He said he had been ill and in the hospital. He told me he would look for it and call me. He didn't. I went out on October 13,2023 and his shop was open. When I enquired about the clock and showed him the claim ticket - he said it was at his house. He took my number and said he would look for it and call. He never called. I went by this afternoon October 27, 2023, and he was closed during his open business hours. I simply want my clock back.

Took 22 months for them to find and repair my clock after I dropped it off. Business hours are irregular (sometimes noon-3pm and sometimes closed all day). When he (owner?) did finally give me my clock, he said, “If something is wrong with it, don’t call us.” Also, cash only (red flag). This place needs to close.

I have been trying to pick up our clocks for over a year now. They do not answer their phone. When and if they call you back and say they will be there, I drive there and no one is there. This is my 4th confirmed attempt and again, no one is here. Please find another click company!!

Very nice clock repairs. Just like in a novel with an elderly craftsman!

Left my clock to be repaired. After 4 months tried repeatedly to call and check on the repair status. No answer. Then tried several times to retrieve my clock at the store, only to find no one there on premises. Finally contacted the BBB to report his lack of service. At long last "he" called me to come and pick up my clock (not repaired)! When I returned to the shop, he could not find it, at which time I pointed out it was behind the counter in the exact spot that he placed it 5 months prior when I dropped it off. DO NOT GO THERE.

Owner stole my clock. I took my cuckoo clock to helens clocks for a tune up. After not hearing from the shop I stopped in several times to get status update. Each time there was another excuse. Last time I stopped by owner told me he could find my clock. He basically stole my clock. Buyer beware. The shop is most shady.

My actual dealing with this establishment happened last year but I didn't realize the damage he caused until now. I took my clock in for an estimate last year. It took him several weeks before I was given an estimate. Then after he gave me the estimate, he gave me an 8 week finish date. That was fine. Stopped by two times during the hours posted on his door but he wasn't there. Finally called him and he couldn't find my clock. He found my clock, and of course it wasn't finished. After another two weeks, I went to go pick it up and crystal total fell out of the door. He told me to take the clock back like that (without the glass being in). I told him I wanted my clock back the way I brought it in. He adhered it with some clear silicone. A sloppy job and wasn't centered on the face of the clock, etc. Took it to a reputable clock repairman this week and he showed me the crystal is too small!!! So apparently, Helen's Clock broke the original crystal and didn't tell me! Don't take any clocks there for repairs! It'll just "tick" you off!
