Oh, I love Hammond's...if you are looking for something special for someone special, Hammond's is definitely the place to go...AND...Peter and his dear wife are the nicest two people ever...nit to mention the other employees of Hammond's ... it is truly a lively place at which to spend the afternoon!!!

Stopped by during the cookie crawl on Cherokee street and met the owner. She is such a wonderful person. Picked up a copy of Levine, hard to find. Wonderful collection, will be back to visit the upstairs!

Walked in and saw some interesting items I wanted to get but then heard some youtube video on repeat from the man at the counter with curse words every other phrase. Dropped the book I was going to get and left.

The owners Jovanka and Knez are extremely rude. Knez was extremely condescending in front of other customers, and his sister needs a gold-plated broomstick. Totally entitled and cheap to the point of being dishonest about it. Their shop is dark, dingy and reeks of mold and mildew. You’re much better off buying and selling your books online. I wouldn’t set foot in their shop again.

This place have all kinds of book you can even get new old stock if your lucky (I lucked up and got 6 brand new goosebumps books with everything in them crazy rare find) place is two floors and full and owner is great

One of my favorite book stores. If the woman is at the desk, she’s very friendly and helpful. However when the male is at the desk, he is incredibly rude and acts inconvenienced by customers. I left instead of buying what would have been over 100 dollars worth of jewelry because he was so rude to me. He needs to find a different job. Looking at reviews i am by far not the first person to say this about him- please get someone else to work at this place or I’m afraid i won’t be coming back to one of the best stores on Cherokee.

Visited Hammond's Books to browse poetry. Nice selection and found a lovely collection about New Mexico. The perfect gift for friends who love the area. The salesman was friendly and attentive. Home grown business with an international flair. I'll be going back.
