This credit union definitely lacks professional delivery of services. The online system is unavailable many times; and, member service representatives seem (at times) confused by basic questions.

Tried logging into my online banking and it states that there has been a system change. I called the number provided and was sent to a prompt, afterwards I was suppose to be transferred to the next available representative. I’ve been waiting to speak to a rep for over an hour. I am livid. No one has time to sit on the phone for over an hour and counting to get into their personal account. The lack of professionalism in regards to this subject matter is beyond ridiculous. I will highly be considering transferring to another bank/credit union.

Haven't been able to use the app or login to my online account for 3 days. This place has no accountability for messing with your acct access.The manager responded with instructions on how it's supposed to work but it's still not working. The help line mailbox is full. This was extremely mismanaged. Looks like I need to actually go to the branch to figure out what these fools are trying to convey. You can't mess with peoples accounts like this.

I have absolutely never in my lifetime had such great experiences at a bank or credit union as I have had over the last few years with Gateway Metro Federal Credit Union! They have always been friendly, willing to help and knowledgeable.

In a world with many banks, there is no reason to use this one. The online service lags far behind any other bank. Further, I have never experienced a bank that was as slow as this one in depositing money, running charges, or posting charges. I have deposited checks that would not show up in my account sometimes for 5 days. If you aren't aware, landlords do not like to hear that the bank is hanging on to the rent money. I have had apps that withdraw money based on the reported balance, but since Gateway's reported balance lags behind the actual balance by days, this app would often overdraw my account.

I had an auto loan through Gateway Metro. On 3 separate occasions they put forced insurance on my account, which adds $2000 onto my principal balance. Each time, I provided proof of insurance, but was charged anyway. After the third time this happened, I finally got someone to admit that it was because they weren't listed as a lein holder on the policy. One call to insurance fixed that. As my loan was coming to an end, I start inquiring about the added balance. I should have that refunded because I did indeed have full coverage and have proof. What was the credit unions plan? To hit me with a $6000 last payment and repo the vehicle when I couldn't pay it? I have no idea because they have refused to answer my questions since April 9th. No refund, no answers. STAY AWAY FROM GATEWAY METRO FEDERAL CREDIT UNION.
