This was honestly an amazing stop. The arch is MUCH larger than I expected. You know how some stops are underwhelming? This isn’t. Would recommend!

Well maintained park that is very walkable. My son enjoyed all the leaves that were on the ground so far this fall! Many different spots to see and photograph the arch from near and far.

Off season is the best! Very short lines and place isn’t packed.
Tour guide was an older man, great sense of humor.

Free National Park. The historical museum was a surprise. Well thought out and presented. Spend the money on a tram to the top! You can see for 30 miles!

I cannot call it national park, maximum national monument. They have a museum inside, again cannot call it great. We spent less than an hour - shortest national park visit ever. There is no free parking around, so be prepared to pay $10.00. The good thing - it's free to enter the museum. You don't even need a national park pass.

Great place to visit. Kids enjoyed the park. Bring a frisbee or play catch. Plenty of photo opportunities. Entry is free unless you go up the arch. The museum was very interesting. Very clean facility. Parking was expensive though. We brought our lunch to save some money. Did not have enough time to do the river cruise. We had fun looking down from the top of the arch. The tram ride was a bit scary.

Built to celebrate the westward expansion of the USA, the Arch is the tallest human made monument is Western hemisphere. Due to the limited time in St. Louis, we skipped a number of activities in the park, but watched a documentary about the construction of the arch, and got the ride to the top of the monument. The movies was OK but excessively technical to my taste, but the ride was cool, with the beautiful view on St. Louis and the vicinity from the top. During the ride, be prepared to be squeezed in a small cabin with 3-4 other people, so it is not for claustrophobic. As these rides are in high demand, buy tickets in advance, and be aware that you are allowed to stay at the top only for about 9 minutes (which, IMHO, is sufficient). There is also a museum on history of St Louis at the bottom of the arch, which seems quite interesting, but we did not explore it due to time issue. There is a caffee near the museum.

The visitor centre is well organised and I enjoyed watching the documentary about the building of the gateway arch. I also liked the honesty in the exhibition with the inclusion of BIPOC perspectives
