Even though going to the DMV is typically not a fun experience, this office did a great job. Irene in particular was wonderful!! I was having issues renewing my license plate, and she remained kind, patient, and very informative. She even went the extra mile to call the state for me during my visit to help fix the problem. Not only was she a breath of fresh air to me, she was kind and patient with everyone in line. Great job Irene and team!!

This was the wost DMV experience I have ever had. The staff was rude and not helpful. The employee helping me made me rifle through documents just to realize she has 2 acceptable documents already handed to her. She was very rude. She asked if my picture was “ok” and when I requested I wanted one more she astutely told me “no, do you see all these people in here”. She never gave me a count down or when to expect the photo, so I just sat there for 10 seconds waiting for the flash. I believe her name was Tayrana. The customer in from of me was also very unhappy with her service. All around a very bad experience for some public servants.

The office works as efficiently as they can. Only 3 staff working (short staffed like the rest of the nation) and the 3 employees were prompt and courteous. With some patrons coming inside after their name was called and being a bit put off, the staff remained calm and stated the facts. Some of the patrons made the environment a bit uncomfortable as to their disrespect to the DMV staff. Theresa was very accommodating for patrons who were willing to follow protocol.

I'd love to give no stars. The highlight of my terrible experience here was when one of the ladies insulted an individual that was hard of hearing. She insulted a handicapped person!! The individual announced he was hard of hearing when he sat down, everyone understood this except the ladies working behind the counter. I had to clearly tell the ladies several times the issue because they wanted to skip the individual because he never approached the counter when his name was called. Possibly one of the rudest things I've witnessed. Oh yeah, the same lady refused to acknowledge that tax records are an official document which can be used in conjunction with other appropriate documents to receive a new REAL ID. Instead, after waiting 2.5 hours she sent me away. I had 17 different forms of mail with me to prove my residence including the tax statements. Worst place ever but unfortunately there's no way to report these issues. These ladies need a lesson on manners and what is required to obtain REAL ID's. This has to be illegal.

I genuinely don’t think the lady who does license stuff knows how to do her job. I’ve been denied twice now for what she claims to be advertisements. First time, I brought a letter from my job with a my current address on it listing benefits for the new year, denied because “advertisement”. Second time, brought a letter from my college with my current address on it explaining another way to claim a refund for a class I dropped, denied because “advertisement”. I don’t know if she’s going too fast and not actually looking at what people give her or if she’s just bad at her job. Very frustrating.

Used to be a good place to go... Now they're just as bad as any of the others. I sat here for an hour and half and watched the line move smoothly, then suddenly, they stopped servicing our line for over 30 minutes. I ran out of time. I guess they're so incompetent that you need to take an entire day off of work if you expect to get service. I wouldn't of sat here for almost two hours had I known that they were going to stop servicing the line a few people before me. Pathetic.

I don’t think I’ve ever had such a smooth DMV experience. They have ALL the answers!!!

No way to know place in line. App not working!

Edit: the place is now useless( go somewhere else. QLESS no longer in operation. 2 1/2 hour wait to change residency on a drivers license. Documentation met their criteria as stated on the DOR website, but they would not except a letter from one part of the US government and another part of the US government. Reading back to the criteria does nothing. If you’re moving into the state, you clearly don’t have a lot of meal with your name on it. Don’t waste your time go to Creve Coeur were you at least can make an appointment. We waited instead of using the online queue, and it was about 20 minutes for us to see Marie for my daughters learner's permit, less than the stated wait time online. Marie was gracious, helpful, and funny. Excellent experience for a trip to the DMV.

Had to leave after being in line for two hours and the app moved me to the back of the line twice.

The Maplewood Deer Creek DMV location stopped working with the QLess app. Why??? It was incredibly efficient to get in line via the QLess app without having to wait endlessly in that cramped space.

I witnessed several customers being treated rudely by the staff. One elderly man was removing his wallet from his pocket as he stood from his seat when his name was called. The worker yelled at him for “not being ready” and would not allow him to proceed to the counter. She spent minutes berating him while he held his documents and license in his hand. To make matters worse, the supervisor approached and backed up the worker. I will not go to this office again. You can go to any Missouri license office, you have a choice. Go somewhere where people are treated with respect.

Definitely was streamlined as possible -text updates on "heading back" to get my spot in line, I could have shopped or gotten food somewhere else nearby and had a decent amount of warning to make it back to the desk for my name to be called. Ladies at the desk were on it, had a different person on each step of the process, multitasking and handling it!
