Wonderful vets. We have been using this animal hospital for over 30 years. The vets are very caring. We like their care of our dogs.

I'm so glad I was referred here after moving into town! My cat needed a new vet, and he's been having some eye irritation. He's usually visibly disstressed at the vet, but as soon as the vet techs and veterinarian let him out of his carrier and gave him lots of love and reassurance, he got so comfortable. Everyone was very kind to both of us, and they were diligent in trying to determine what was bothering his eye. The staff here clearly cares deeply about animal welfare (which you'd think would be standard at any vet but doesn't always seem to be).

Love this place. Incredibly professional and caring. Went there to get a simple rabies shot and they clipped his nails and trimmed his tail fur. Saved so much time and effort cuz my little guy was a lot to handle.

Best vet ever! I highly recommend Dr. Goss. He is amazing and extremely knowledgeable! We have been coming for 5 years and have added a Dog to the family and he’s been amazing with all of them! My husky is so comfortable there she doesn’t make a noise when she walks through the office. The girls at the front desk are super sweet and if I ever have questions they make sure I talk to the doctor personally! I’ve also boarded my cat and they sent me daily photos of him! I couldn’t say enough good things about this team of warming staff!

I can not praise Dr. Gross and the staff here more. After our dog was misdiagnosed at Webster Groves Animal Hospital - 3 times, within minutes of seeing Maximus, he knew something serious was wrong. He took his time to find someone who could perform a blood transfusion and called to brief the next doctor. He quickly knew our dog was anemic and suspected cancer. After blood work, he was correct. He and his team was kind and helped us. He also spoke to the specialist so we did not waste time or have to get even more upset explaining the case. Unfortunately, he had lymphoma and we had to say goodbye. Despite it being short notice and he was going on vacation, he kindly helped us say goodbye. The professionalism and thoughtfulness helped us during an utterly devastating situation. Highly recommend. We thank them fir all they did.

It has been a few months since the only visit we had to Chippewa Animal Hospital, but I felt it necessary to circle back and review to maybe help someone from searching for a vet as I am once again, twice within the same year. We chose not to return here ultimately due to the customer service. Our dog needed a tooth extraction so we came in for a consult and estimate. Upon arriving the front desk lady was busy so a tech went ahead and introduced herself to my dog who is nervous in new places and meeting new people. She was sweet and knew how to approach a him, as a person should working at a vet clinic. However, upon making our way to the scale, the front desk lady came over and spooked my anxious dog who turned and tried to nip her - completely understandably. She should not be around animals in my opinion. My dog is also a 75 lb pit but that didn't stop her from surprising him from behind to say hi...terrible. However the tech was great. We got our estimate which for now included a teeth cleaning in addition to all other surgery necessities and the extraction. When I returned the day of the surgery, I asked if we could remove the cleaning since we had decided to opt out. The staff seemed concerned and said "we may not be able to remove the service now". I had not signed the paperwork or paid yet. No idea why I could not remove the cleaning which was completely additional to the tooth extraction. They said once the vet was in at 9am they would have him give me a call to discuss. It was not until after noon that I got a call. It was the vet, who had waited until after pulling the tooth but before waking my dog to ensure I did not want the cleaning. It blew my mind that this call was made while my dog was sedated on the table. Could this not have been confirmed before my dog's surgery?? Why are you on the phone instead of tending to my dog? How many other calls did you make while I paid for anesthesia to keep my dog asleep? I assured him I would not pay for a cleaning and asked when I could pick my dog up. That was the last time we visited. Surgery went well and my dog recovered but it was not a great experience. I even sent an email a couple months later to inquire about getting a refill on a heartguard prescription to see if we would have to come in for another visit, but was ignored. A business that deliberately ignores emails really gets under my skin. Please take your pet somewhere else where you know the employees respect your animal.

I really liked the service here, during Covid you're always a little bit nervous just leaving your dog with the vet. But they did a really great job of making me feel comfortable and ensuring that my pet was in good hands. Butter, my 95 pound American bulldog, didn't even look back when the vet came and took him inside. He was so excited to see them and was kissing them all. I also like that the vet wasn't forcing me to do anything that I didn't want to, she asked me about the heartworm medications which one I wanted, if I wanted any. Which is unusual, most the time they just tell you that you need this. I really appreciate that about them When I got the phone call from the vet saying that everything was done and to give me an update on his status, they were so nice, she just laughed and told me how he had been licking everybody head to toe and what a good boy he was, I feel very confident in their service and look forward to taking him there again

We've been taking our dogs to Chippewa Animal hospital for twenty years. They saw us through the long life spans of our two hounds, Sam and Blue. Fairly recently, the original vets retired and Dr. Nadeau and Dr. Goss have taken over. Yesterday, we took our two year old Iris to Dr. Nadeau. She went above and beyond in her examination, advice, diagnoses--even helping us with a nail trim. We are grateful, and we are recommending Dr. Nadeau to all our friends who are dog owners.

The vets here are amazing caring people. You can just tell that they truly care about the pets they take care of and that this is a passion for them! The office staff is amazing and truly go out of their way to accommodate everyone who walks in the door. All in all I would never take my pets anywhere else in the Greater Saint Louis area!!!
