Beware of this bank or at least the people that work there. It is such a scam. The only reason I signed up for a checking and saving account here was because they kept sending me a letter offer in the mail with a $900 bonus if I open both checking and saving account at the same time. $200 is for the saving account and $300 for the checking account. Then once all of the "terms and condition" is succed, I will recieve another $400 as a bonus. Rick was the person who signed me up for both and he make sure that I know all the conditions and terms for me to reach it to get the bonus. I am a very careful person in everything so when I see that they said you have to do a "direct deposit" into your checking account beside all of the other conditions. It was a bit concern to me because my whole life I am a self employed person so I have never done direct deposit. He then told me that its fine, when I deposit my own checks, it pretty much the same thing. I was like ok. Thats why I decided to sign up. They always make it look so easy to get you to open accounts with them. I'm pretty sure Rick also got a bonus to sign me up too thats why he's so enthusiastic in signing me up. After a month Rick called me to make sure everything was ok. I told him that I had a bit of trouble depositing my checks, my checks was on hold for 2 weeks due to my name wasn't written correctly like how it appeared on my chase bank account. But in the end I got it figured out. Then again, pretty sure at that time I did discussed with him that I only get pay through checks deposits and he still did not mention anything about direct deposit. So after 3 months, I saw only a $200 bonus appear on my saving account and not the other $700 like they promised. I called the bank and I could not reach him, I spoke to someone and she told me that I had to have a direct deposit set up to be able to earn that $300 and then another $400 on both once both accounts is qualify for the bonus. I told her Rick told me differently and she said I did got $200 on the saving. As if the $200 and $900 is a very small differences. Alot of other banks do offer the $200 bonus when you open a checking account with them. I guess the $900 is too good to be true. At least Rick could have told me a direct deposit and checks deposit is 2 totally different thing, which I knew and he still insisted on its the same. This is why I dont want other people to fall for theirs lies just for you to sign up for an account with them. Also you will have to keep a certain amount of money in the saving account for 3 months to qualify for it, which I did. All for nothing. Then I tried to reach him for a week, cause I demand an explaination from him. I called him like 6 times and the person who picked up the phone told me that they willl tell him to call me back. Which he did only 1 time and I didnt pick up cause I was at work. Today I called him again and good thing he called me back. All he can tell me is it was a misunderstanding and he pretty sure that he explained to me clearly. I'm pretty sure all of these banks do record people's conversations and also during the phone call. He can go ahead and listen to our conversation again to see whats the "misunderstanding" in that. He also told me that I did got a $200 bonus in my saving account, then again a $200 bonus and $900 is 2 totally different amount. I also asked him how soon can I close out my saving account without the $200 bonus being forfeit and he said he pretty after 3 months when the account is open, its fine. I have google searched and many answers was 6 months. Should I even trust him anymore after this past point? I meant I do have a chase credit card and I like it, but after this personal experience at this bank and with Rick, it made me have a distrust issue with this bank. I also open a DC account and I guess it will be a while until I can withdrawn all of my money. It just so easy for them to call and send emails checking up on you when you first open an accounts there but after a while a
