CarSmart is my go-to place for routine maintenance and licensing inspections. I like that their repair techs appear to be mature, seasoned pros and the shop area is neat and clean. Recently my ****** Camry was making a troubling noise. Their inspection confirmed the water pump bearing was failing. They took me in the shop so I could hear the sound the water pump was making with the belt removed; definitely a bad bearing. They replaced the water pump for a price that was very competitive compared to what other shops in the area would have charged. And their free shuttle service made the repair convenient. CarSmart's warranty on the repair was better than the other shops, too. Now my Camry is running fine. Thanks CarSmart.

Had a flat tire yesterday (screw in tread of my tire). Was worried i'd have to spend almost $200 getting a new tire and have to completely rearrange my schedule for the day to meet my dealership's availability. CarSmart took me as a walk-in within 5min of me putting the spare on my car, and in less than 30min they had my tire patched for $40 while I ran an errand nearby. Saved me a lot of money, and saved my schedule too. Can't get any better than saving both time and money. Tim was a great help.

I am visiting from out of town and I took my car here for diagnosis after some issues following a cross-country drive. Everyone I spoke with was extremely polite and explained everything clearly to me, they looked at the car the same day and made a diagnosis. Turns out the car needs an exhaust repair and they let me know that what they could offer would be much more expensive than getting the break in the exhaust welded back together. I guess they don't offer welding but they referred me to someplace that does. Although I will not end up getting the car fixed here I thought it was worth writing a review as I found everyone I spoke with at CarSmart to be honest and considerate and really appreciate the time they took to help me out.

Have always had good experiences at CarSmart Auto Service. Very honest and reputable mechanic shop. Have gone above and beyond. Not many places like this anymore. Well even pick you up and drop you off if you need a ride. And if your vehicle is in there for any amount of time or even loan you a vehicle..Services: Vehicle Inspection

They’re always very nice when I call! They’re reasonable on price, always accommodating, and get me in the same day! I ventured out to other auto shops, but always come back to them. They’re great!

UPDATE: see below.Brought my old truck to carsmart for 3 issues. 1.steering was loose. Much Improved. 2. E brake repair. Fixed! 3. drivers side pwr window would only open slightly. Fixed! $2464.00 later I picked up my truck, drove it home and locked it up like always.(Pwr locks). Next morning I went to get in the cab and the doors won’t unlock! The motor that locks them is STUCK on LOCK! It’s as though the lock button was being held down. Now there is no way to enter the cab, outside of breaking a perfectly fine window! Well ultimately, that’s what had to happen!!My contention is this: The locks were indeed working as they should BEFORE they removed the door panel to repair the window. ..They, told me the lock was old and froze up. (Where’s the lock? Or a picture of frozen lock? Maybe some Proof to prove carsmart wasn’t responsible?? Which was their initial position.) I asked, both sides?? At the same time?? And coincidently the minute you were done fixing my window. Then Adam said he didn’t know the right door wouldn’t open either! Really? If one side would have opened I wouldn’t have spent 6 hours with 3 AAA specialists trying to open the truck!!Finally after the owner ofcarsmart and his mechanic showed up at my house to join in with the AAA guys, together they decided to tow the truck back to carsmart where they would figure it out! Ultimately, carsmart would have to break the glass and disconnect the automatic door lock on the driver’s side. Now, I’ve got my truck back after several days at cardumb, only one door works! At least it’s the driver’s side! A Win?Bottom line is,I may be wrong about what happened to my locks but. If this were my business I would have taken the time to figure out what made the locks malfunction and prove I did, or didn’t have anything to do with it. Instead they deleted my auto lock on one side. And didn’t know/ care that the right side wouldn’t open.To be fair.., they didn’t charge me for the window and the drivers lock motor delete. And after some discussion, Adam reluctantly offered to unstuck the right side door at a later date. No thank you.I do want to find out what happened and caused the auto locks to malfunction . I’ll update when I get the resultsUpdate:Dan the owner of Caresmart just called me and offered to look at my door locks even offered a loaner car for the down time.

I’ve used this place a couple times now and the people there are very nice. The times I’ve been here I find the prices to be high and have spent a few thousand dollars with them on repairs for 2 vehicles. This time the AC went out in my wife’s car. Adam said to bring it up and they would check it out asap. What he didn’t tell me is that he was going to charge me over $100 to inspect. At first when I asked about the charge he said it was to pay the technician for his time and for the freon. As I waited for the shuttle they provide, a woman came in with a long list of repairs she had been quoted for at her dealership and wanted a competitive quote from Car Smart. She specifically asked if they would charge her a diagnostic fee. Dan who was working with this woman told her no. Which I made it a point to tell the woman they had just charge me over $100 for a diagnostic. As Adam gave me the estimate for repairs which was over $2300 to fix a AC hose in the back, he tried to change his story since Dan had gone back there and told him I said something to the woman customer. Adam proceeded to tell me there was difference because he had to use Freon which costs money and eye tests are free but, my “diagnostic” was more labor intensive, and that this woman was just getting an eye test even though she had blown gaskets, starter problems, and misfires, and a long list of other items that I’m sure require more than a eye test. This is how he justified charging me over $100. My receipt says labor $95 and $6.65 for “shop supplies”. So his explanations were not making sense to me at all. The work here is ok and the people are nice but they are definitely overpriced. Adam somehow gave me a discount of $300 on my estimate after I complained. So I can clearly see that they ARE price gouging. He should have left off the diagnostic charge $100 and not discounted the estimate $300, not really a smart business move, and for that reason I won’t be going back here.Services: Auto engine diagnostic

It's been three years,. but here we go again. Took the old 2005 Malibu in for a routine Inspection mechanic called us 4 hours later. Said it was gonna be $4200 to pass inspection needs a new exhaust system suspension parts bad and check engine light on.We Took it to another place ( honest ) The very next day for inspection. They patched my exhaust tiny hole and replaced the front headlight bulb. The total is $58.I wouldn't take a lawnmower up to this place and have it Repaired by these thieves. Stay clear I'm done with them.Service: Vehicle safety inspection
