An amazing shelter, genuinely cares about animals. Is constantly in crisis with lots of animals, so if they seem rushed that is probably the reason. We have fostered/volunteered for over a year, my grandma adopted one of our fosters and it worked out great for her. Overall highly recommend you adopt, volunteer and/or foster. The community is amazing

The experience at Care STL was wonderful. We walked in unexpectedly right at opening on a Saturday morning and walked out with a perfect dog for our family and great care from the employees! This is after we had left Gateway Pet Guardians as we had a terrible experience with their employees and level of care for the dogs at their establishment so this was greatly appreciated!

Unfortunately the dog, my 87 yr old mom, adopted had to be returned because the dog didn't adjust well to mom, her husband or the 2 yr old cat they had. The dog, a 3 yr old pit terrier would of been fine, I think, if it would of been for a younger person or couple that could take time with her. Her name is Dora, she's beautiful and needs lots of love

A "stray" dog found it's way into my yard, but fortunately he was friendly which allowed me to see that he had a Stray Rescue tag on his collar. Once I called, the young lady I spoke with was able to connect me with his human and I was able to reunite them. I was also impressed that the young lady remembered him by name "Ramen Noodle" and spoke of how mannerable he his. Hopefully, he and my Precious get a chance to see one another again ?
