Took my 3 year old here as a prize for being good after getting dental work. He was a little wobbly still from anesthesia but the person that helped us modified the heart activity so my boy was comfortable doing it. The employee was just so sweet and great with my boy. Definitely recommend

Schemey sales tactics here. Asking people or their kids if they want a “scent” added and not telling them is an additional cost is real slick. Didn’t know until I was checking out. Cannot even smell the scent through the bear.

I love how kind and patient they are with the kids at this location. Also if you have kids, grandkids nieces, or nephews. If you create an account with Build a Bear. On the child's birthday month, they can get a birthday bear at the price of their age. For example, if they are 1 year old they pay $1 if they are 2 years old they pay $2 and so on the cap is $14 so you never pay more than $14 for a birthday bear on your birthday month. The birthday bear is usually brown and has a happy birthday at the bottom. Also comes with a box that kids can color and use as a play house for the bear.

Not the best experience. Went in for a birthday bear and the staff seemed annoyed we were there and mentioned multiple times how cheap the bear was in relation to the add-ons in almost a shame-y, uncomfortable way. Left wondering if they earn on commission. Definitely picking a different store next year.

Destiny was very rude and obnoxious with us today. Management needs to do a better job training their employees for people skills. Specially when the customer tells you "It's my first time here". We went in good spirits and very excited for this visit! I don't want to go back and spend so much money with someone that really made my son's 1st experience building a bear and myself disrespected.

We went for my adult friends first trip and the whole staff was truly amazing. We were never treated less for being adults and requesting the whole experience. They were so lovely! Earneisha was especially warm and welcoming. Destiny was especially helpful and lovely too! I left my cane and they called me to come back and grab it. I highly recommend this location.

My friend and I are avid build-a-bear collectors, through the years we have come across many bears with defects ect. Because of this, we enjoy looking through the bins to find the perfect fuzzy friend to bring home. As we were doing this at this location a team member approached us and asked if we were looking for a specific bear. We explained our process for finding the perfect friend, and they rudely said “well that’s gonna be fun to fill up later” referring to the bin, and walked off. We always clean up after ourselves and make the bins look neat, it’s never been an issue before.

Where an adult can be a kid . I love build a bear and I was surprised with a date to build a bear. I love the St. Louis Galleria location . Staff is so friendly and it's never busy , an added bonus. This location is clean and always eager to assist.

My kids LOVE going to make new bears. So far we have made 4 this month and put voice recordings in them. I love it. And so do my kids. We got my dad one for Christmas since he lives far. He absolutely loved his bear.

Brought my son in for his 1st birthday and 1st birthday bear and his favorite movie character. Still had 20 min left till close. The girls seemed annoyed by us walking in. They couldn’t be bothered to get excited. They didn’t do all the fun stuff. She took the stuffed animals had me stand on the pedal and just sat there and stuffed it didnt do all the phone pic the heart out and rub it to put the magic in all the fun stuff that kids find the magic in. I know he’s 1 but he was having a fun day till then he understood what was going on. Neither work could bother to even smile. The check out was hell. Had an issue with the card reader and I was smiling and polite and I got snapped at. There was no magic . We were out with 5 min to spare… we didn’t keep them over and there were other behind us. Will never come back to this location, if back to Build a bear in general. Horrible experience. And insanely depressing .

We brought my daughter here for her 5th Birthday last year and the lady told us she couldn’t get a bear for her Birthday age special and I had to pay full price since we already had made the trip out there and my daughter was excited to make one. I called months later because a friend took her son and they gave her the Birthday age price for his bear. I called store back up and another employee confirmed that they do still do the pay your Birthday age. Very upset with my whole experience and the fact that I was cheated out of $20 on my Daughters Birthday.

I had an amazing time here. I recently had to say goodbye to a friend who was visiting at the airport and came to Build-A-Bear to help cheer myself up. Paris, the employee, and the second employee there (I did not catch her name, but she was there after 6pm on August 8th, 2022) were absolutely amazing. I came in a wreck and they were so patient and kind, helping me pick out my bear, put in a voice, and make a BEAR-y cute version of my friend to keep company until he can visit again. I haven’t been to Build-A-Bear since I was a little girl, but the magic is still there in the hearts of the employees who can turn the worst day into a happy memory. If I could rate more than 5 stars, I would. Thank you so much!
