I called and asked about a product. He was very ignorant and rude and shook it off and told me no they don’t have it I said thanks for your help and he just hung up on me. I will never go to that gas station with that attitude.

I am only reviewing the Lotto side of things... It was not great. I had some happy lucky winning gift Scratchers to turn in and I wanted to get a couple of Lotto tickets on a promo day. The employee, who was new, was put off when I said I had some Scratchers and said they only paid out $50 max. Oh... kay. That's their prerogative, but it's also mine to review and subtract a star. I considered getting some Scratchers there because I didn't have much more in Scratchers than they could pay in cash, and thought I could save myself a make-up stop at another gas station but they only sell the $1 Scratchers, and I didn't want to spend the rest of my life scratching. When I said I wanted to do the National Lotto Day promo, the employee was clueless. I explained what it was and he said he didn't know how to do it. He wasn't really interested in figuring it out. (FWIW, I went to a different gas station a few minutes later, and though those employees were clueless, they tried and the free lotto ticket printed automatically with my purchase.) But he plays the lotto and he wanted me to explain how things worked in the app. He was nice and all and we had a decent little conversation, but my trip there was a waste of time. After reading other reviews here, I doubt I'd go back for gas or service.

I buy my gas there and get routine auto repairs there. My experience has been uniformly excellent.

Good place to get gas. Free air at select pumps when mechanic shop is open. Gas is usually priced higher here than at surrounding gas stations by 10-20 cents per gallon.

Will never go back. Has anyone else had this experience with Wheeler's? I filled up my tank with Regular last night and my receipt reflected a purchase of "Gold" grade, and charged me for Premium. I have never chosen Premium grade in my life. When I brought this to the attention of the attendant, he said there was nothing he could do about it - as though it was my fault - it was not. I have lived around the corner from Wheelers for more than 20 years. I would like to know if this happens to customers routinely, as it looks to me like fraud.

Cheap owner.
They refuse to accept coupons.
(.50cents off a pack of Camels)
Then have nerve to over charge you $6.69 per pack.
Normally $4.75 per pack.

Friendliness of the staff needs to be addressed in my opinion.

I've only ever gotten gas here so I can't speak to the quality of the service. This is a modestly size BP station in Clayton. It is easy to get to, pretty standard gas prices for the area, and the inside is respectable. There are not a ton of pumps, so it isn't worth waiting if there is a line. As a result the parking lot is a bit chaotic as well.

Pros: Normally, it's quick and easy. Pull in, pump your gas, leave. No complaints there. They have a garage attached and can apparently do at least basic repairs (I've never used it, but glad to know it's there). Conveniently located in Clayton. Cons: They have weird hours sometimes. There have been days when I've pulled in and they're closed even though their sign says they should be open. It's often crowded since everyone is trying to avoid the full-service side, so sometimes you have to wait. Sometimes whenI buy food here, I notice after driving away that whatever I bought is expired. Getting in and out of their parking lot sometimes requires intermediate driving skills. The people inside seem bored and will greet you with a monotone greeting without really looking at you (I get it, the job sucks, I've had a few of those myself). And of course, one automatic full star off for what BP did the Gulf of Mexico. For shame, BP.
