“Norton’s Fine Art & Framing has done a superb job on a number of pieces for me. Their work has been exceptional; from helping me select frames and mats that best complements the artwork to completing the framing itself and providing me with simple to follow hanging instructions. Their advice is right on point and their workmanship is top quality from start to finish.”

“I went to Self Inflicted for a piece that had been on my mind for a long time. I’d seen the standard of work online and asked Adriana if she could book me in, which she did, at a time that suited us both. When I arrived Adriana had already sketched my idea, adding the influence of her experience, to create a design that exceeded my imagination.I’ve got two other large tattoos already, but this one was the least painful so far. The work was done quickly but unhurried, and the way I was treated in the studio was professional yet with remarkable warmth and dignity.Self Inflicted Tattoos sets the standard for how it should be done. The staff there are really cool, the artwork is outstanding and Adriana was brilliant, from initial contact to the handshake at the end.If you’re looking for some ink, look no further.Services: Tattoo aftercare”

“The best local shop that I have been in! The people who assisted me were so kind and considerate, and their work is fantastic. I can not stress enough how wonderful my experience with this business was. They were honest and helpful with every question I had.”

“I needed to have a painting remounted because it wasn't done properly the first time by a different business. Jaynelle and Dogtown Gallery & Frame Shop not only fixed the problem, the painting looks even better in its frame with the new mounting. For future framing needs, I will certainly be returning to Dogtown Gallery! Thank you so much.”

“My daughter's gifted me a wood turning class at Craft Alliance for Christmas, one of the best gifts ever. I've been a woodworker since the late 60s. I have an almost full wood shop, and I enjoy my time every minute I'm working there. Turning is something I always wanted to try. Craft Alliance is a modern, clean, safe, facility, and has all the necessary equipment and tools to a plathora of diverse crafts. Our instructor Joy shared her knowledge and expertise with a class of five students with a wide range of expertise in wood. She was able to relate to all students, and from the attached pictures, you can see the success of the class.”

“John cleaned up and re-framed an old panel I wanted to display. He was super fast and did a great job! Icing on the cake: he’s a very nice and genuine man, who very obviously cares about quality and craftsmanship. That’s not easy to find these days.”

“I had two minds on framing three pieces of art that were very sentimental to me. My fearless self consulted the color wheel and selected mat and frame that complemented the art pieces as well as the colors in the room where it would hang. The fearful self went for the safe choice of white mat and black frame. The staff at Moments encouraged me to be bold! What I gained are three beautiful art pieces that I am proud to display! This is now my framing place of choice! The staff is extraordinarily helpful, knowledgeable, warm and welcoming!”

“It took time to search for the best gallery to cosign our William Keith original, but it paid off. The Kodner Gallery was very professional and helpful in finding a qualified buyer and obtaining a fair price.”

“Such a great little local shop that supports local artists! The staff also goes above and beyond saving my email address for an artist I liked and sending me a note when they had more of her work in stock so I could get a necklace to match my favorite earrings. Cannot say enough positive things about Union Studio!”

“The Missouri Arts Council provides funding for arts opportunities and artists throughout Missouri. As a rural Missourian and an arts enthusiast, I'm very grateful for MAC and its ability to support the growth of the arts in our whole state-- not just the metropolitan areas.”

“As someone who loves history the Samuel Coupples house did not disappoint. Before going in I didn’t expect much, just a cool looking house. Stepping in made me feel like I was walking through time, the echos of the people who lived there in the past stuck in the ears of time. There are a few places which made me want to research them more and the Cupples house was one of them. I learned about the niche side of St.Louis’s history from visiting this site. The tickets are free and you can explore the house and immerse yourself. This was an unexpected hidden gem”

“Charlie Houska is a staple of the STL art community. He's committed to showing and promoting talented local artists and has some real gems in his collection. All at reasonable prices. He also makes an exquisite pretzel salad for all his openings.”

“Our October wedding held it's reception at the beautiful indoor/outdoor space at Mad Art. We had 140 guests in attendance and the space more than accommodated dining and dancing. Kelsey and Ron are awesome! They provided a personal, curated service from our first visit to view the space to our incredible tasting to some last minute decorating hours before the reception. This old jail has rustic and modern character, great art displays, and a staff that provides a royal treatment. Definitely consider Mad Art as an elite venue for your event hosting needs!”

“It is a very interesting museum. I truly enjoyed the two current exhibits (Feb 2024) and learned a lot about chess and its history in St. Louis. The third floor has interactive intros of the current grand masters. Unfortunately, the system encountered technical difficulties when I visited on 2/25/2024, but I looked up the life stories of some grand masters on Google after the visit. It was a good introduction, and I appreciated the information.Recommend 30-45 minutes to visit.”

“This gallery is a showcase for regional artistic talent allowing everyone in the community a unique chance to display their work. I have attended two openings and a special event, which were very well attended pre-covid. Last week I stopped in for an expresso and found the gallery just re-opened. This is a diamond in the rough in downtown St. Louis and only blocks from the arch complex. With juried exhibits routinely changing you have every reason to visit and admire local talent throughout the year. And the coffee bar is amazing!”

“I've known about CAM for years, but I didn't realize this was just around the corner and also free. I took my parents while they were in town, and we were really impressed! While we were there, they had an... ambient? Noise? Concert in the large sunken gallery, which was really perfect and atmospheric. Definitely not what I'd normally listen to, but it matched the space. I liked that they have a coat room by the restrooms, and they have some postcards set out that they will mail for you (I only know a couple of addresses off the top of my head, so bring your address book if you want to take advantage).”

“Upstairs is surprisingly nice. Lots of open air, made for a great wedding venue. The owner having a miscommunication with his staff and subsequently making the bride cry was not the best. Minus one star for poor customer relations”

“Went for the Rocky Maverick show 10/16 and it was my first time on this side of the venue. I walked in and the guy who greeted me looked at the digital ticket, then led to my seat. I just love the ambiance and the lighting makes it so much more intimate. I didn't eat food, but definitely ordered a couple of whiskey mules that were strong and delicious! Shout out to Louis(the bartender) for his professionalism, but still able to mingle with partrons and bartend properly! Bathrooms were super clean, but inconveniently on the lower level lolbvs. I gotta say Rocky Maverick and his band left us with an experience to last a lifetime and I look forward to attending more shows.”
