Water and HVAC maintenance lasted months and led to multiple outages during the winter. On top of internet outages in the area.

?? THIS IS A SMOKE-FILLED “NON-SMOKING BUILDING” ??My experience with Arcade Apartments wasn’t the best.I moved here from KCMO & signed my lease in the middle of February. The applying process was smooth and getting approved was fast and simple. Everyone was nice and took care of everything before i moved to St. Louis.Upon arriving I was told that my apartment wasn’t ready and i was asked if i could come back the next day (which i couldn’t because this was the only day i had to move and i had work the next day, also keep in mind i just drove almost 4hrs to get there). Then they tell me everything’s cool & let’s start signing the lease. While signing the lease i notice the unit number isn’t the same number they told me over the phone. They then tell me the originally unit number isn’t available because the woman decided not to move out (why advertise something that wasn’t available?)They gave me a tour of the newly assigned unit and it was decent. I took it because i had no choice.Moving forward to about 3 months before move out i notice that my move out date is the end of January and not the middle of February when I signed my lease. That is when I was told about it being something with HUD and they can’t change it. Okay fine. Let’s move forward to a month before move out. I decided I didn’t want to pay for parking anymore so i let the appropriate parties know. And if i had known they were going to make it hell to get out of garage parking i would’ve never agreed to it.My move out experience wasn’t great. The leasing office changed people so much it was confusing on who was staff and who wasn’t. The only professional people in that office are Kandyce & the white guy that sits at the front. This company is very much a “if you don’t ask we wont tell” type of company & that’s bad for business. Definitely will never rent with Dominium again and will tell all my friends and family to STAY AWAY!!

I went into the office for one thing and got a completely different issue resolved by Teresa. Teresa pleasant greeting caught me off guard and she was more than willing to assist me and make it right. Thank you Teresa for getting me the FOB that I’ve needed for so long. I’ve met Candice. Candice is very pleasant and every single time I’ve had an interaction with her, she is kind and working away to get order in the office. Brian, maintenance was awesome and was a lifesaver this past summer when we consistently loss air. All in All.I’ve seen improvements and I can’t wait to see how other improvements will be made. Hope is being slowly restored.

Do not move here!!! You have no privacy! They come do inspections without giving you a 24 hours notice. Trying to sneak up on you like a kid to see how you’re living. This new manager is coming to your apartment doing unit inspections that is against the law . You must give notice. She is starting off wrong. We are not kids!!! You can’t just pop up when you feel like it!! I’m moving asap. She needs to stop! I hate it here. It’s always new management and they all come in like this doing stuff wrong and not by the law I’m calling channel 5.

This is a low income/student housing building that is shared with Webster University but welcomes anyone. They cannot retain occupants or staff. It was new management when i moved in and there’s new management since i moved out. quality of living here is not worth what you pay/experience especially considering they increased rent! My base went from 1105 to about 1505. car break ins, shootings, and homelessness are very evident. The change of management was still very uninvolved/unresponsive in my experience. The older reviews you see about great staff are no longer there.was told on my tour it takes 48 hours for maintenance to respond to request, false. there’s maybe 1-3 maintenance men. i lived with a broken garbage disposal and backed up tub/sink for a month just because they never came.I am not exaggerating when I say this place is so unclean, never know what bodily fluid you’re stepping in when walking around. On several occasions I’ve seen vomit, dog urine, and even salvia in the elevators. More times than I should! Its very unflattering and disturbing to constantly avoid walking in dog urine inside of your apartment community and even right outside of my front door!!!!!The fluids usually sat there until the next morning when maintenance can clean it up.They just put down a wet floor sign. The floors are always sticky and dirty. It just feels like an icky place, this is what makes me most uncomfortable. I could live with everything else if the place wasn’t so trifling.when i first moved in and until move out the water pressure/temperature was inconsistent. The air system is questionable. I would have it on 78 and it would still be freezing, in the spring time not winter.Police/firetrucks frequent the area. Always blocking off streets so there is usually traffic in front of the building. Car break ins and shootings are frequent around the area so the 175$ underground parking is a MUST to have. It does what it needs to do however, its a 100+ yr old building so it looks like it’s falling apart. The spots are very tight. If someone parks in your spot, oh well, they don’t actually enforce towing rather security will just load up stickers on your window if you dont move and a tow truck wouldnt fit inside the garage. There is a vacuuming and power washing station, so that’s nice. The elevators are very slow and frequently break. For a 19 floor building to only have 1 elevator operational often will have you waiting 10 mins just to get up from the garage or leave. The sign that says smoke free in the lobby, is blatant false advertising & they are aware of the extent of the smoking use. They do not take extra efforts to ensure that it is. So that sign needs to be removed. You will find cigarette butts, cartons, and joint butts in the building. The smell is also a dead giveawaythey entered units atleast 7x in one year and not for maintenance reasonsfront office door was locked per usual during business hours, the staff crawled/hid under the desk until i left, I waited a while, knocked, tried to enter all doors and finally called and left a VM letting her know that I saw her.i told them several times about rude vandalism written on my door, which they’ve seen because they put letters and even false/accidental eviction notices on my door meant for someone else. Nothing was ever done about it.Doors in the lobby are open often, as they dont work properly so anyone can still enter and come in whenever someone comes off the elevator. I believe after a shooting downtown occurred they started to utilize their security practices more pre-cautiously. So security keeps the doors locked or sits at the front entrance if the door isn’t working correctly, but not always of course. The rooftop water feature u see in the pics actually look like a dirty mud pond ALL year round, hopefully they will make efforts to keep it clean after this review.Arcade does have great amenities but you cant enjoy them because of lack of upkeep or they’re usually broken.google wont let me post w proof in pictures

Horrible place straight gave me anxiety. I had a washer they so called fixed and had my clothes stuck in it for 3weeks called maintenance over and over. When they finally moved the washer and got the door release it was because shared with them what a YouTube video said about doing it. The pipes always backing up and the sink spit up garbage from other floors because they didn’t routinely snake the pipes like they said they would. People steal packages and they do nothing about it bc the all the cameras are never working. Any positive reviews they have are all stage to keep there ratings up.

The office is full of staff members but absolutely no one is answering the phones in the St. Louis office, you get someone from a 3rd world country! I emailed the Amanda lady I did the tour with and she is horrible at returning emails! Like what happened to business integrity? This is the worst 1st impression ever!

I scheduled a showing yesterday and it was love at first sight. The building is stunning from the ground floor common halls all the way to the front door of the apartment, and the customer service was sublime! I’m shocked I hadn’t found this earlier, but I’m glad I did!!

Terrible communication from management. They will enter your apartment when they feel like it so ladies be careful. They are horrible at responding to maintenance requests. They ignore resident concerns, yes these apartments are nice but don’t be fooled they are ghetto and dangerous at night !!! Save your time and money do not rent with them them you’ll be highly disappointed

I just moved in yesterday thanks to Amanda , this is my first apartment & she made everything very easy for me. She got me a bigger apartment than the one I started with & it’s perfect. She is amazing, great personality, & very helpful. I recommend Amanda & the Arcade Apartments if you’re looking for a new place to stay.

I can’t wait till I tell my story about this building. If you want the truth about this place look it up on the internet it’s been plenty of police involved incidents here. Go look up public record and see how many times police and other first responders are at the building at one point it was almost weekly. Ashley the latest property manager is going to come on here and try to professionally respond but she is the 3 or 4 property manager in last 2 years so that should tell you something. The city honestly needs to step in and investigate this place. They say they hv security but what they secure sitting at a desk all day. The doors are broken all the time and elevators always breaking down. How about instead of finding time to get on Google and reply to reviews yall find time to renovate this building. The people leaving these one star reviews ain’t lying. You better off staying somewhere else because the amenities ain’t worth the stress. Maintenance never fixes anything in reasonable time period. It will be a month before you see them smh……
