I got three bids to move within St. Louis county. Anchor was the most reasonable but dealing with the owner was a real plus. I didn't feel they were in any hidden charges. The guys that actually moved us out on one day and in on another day worked really, really hard and we're continuously professional, friendly and courteous. I felt very confident the entire time. Very happy- would use them again and recommend them to anyone

We booked Anchor to move us from one house to another. I booked them several weeks before we needed them to assure they were available, which they were. I went over exactly what they would be moving so they knew how many men and trucks to provide. The day of the move they showed up 45 minutes late and short a truck and a guy. After speaking with the owner, Mike, he told me it was out of his control that a guy didn't show up to work that day. That was just the beginning. The second truck and extra guy showed up 4 hours later. They have a policy of whomever takes apart a piece of furniture has to put it back together. Well they had one guy doing all of the furniture. I collected all the screws from each piece of furniture and marked each bag where they came from. They lost half the screws for our couch and used the wrong screws for my sons crib. They dropped our washing machine on its side while moving it in our house right in front of me. I contacted the owner a day after we moved to tell him the washer doesn't work. He sent out a repairman which determined the bearings shifted and the owner wouldn't pay to repair this. The movers also damaged several pieces of furniture and put a few dents in the walls in our new house. They also failed to remove all of our property from our old house so my husband, father and myself filled three big SUVs/minivans several times to clear our old house out. It took them over 3 weeks to fix our couch that they lost half the screws for. Do yourself a favor and look for another moving company. This company is not worth the time nor the stress.

Bad company don't use them. Drivers show up high and got high again while driving the truck. Owner quoted us 3 guys only 2 show up. Items were broken during the move. The owner sent his repair guy out who said some things could not be fixed. The owner then said just let him try even though the repair man said they will look worse. I asked the owner for his insurance information and he laughed. Now he wont call me back. Don't use these guys. They have been on the news for stealing from customers. They break items and wont fix it and they will not honor the agreement they had. Such a joke of a company.

THEY DIDN'T SHOW UP ON MOVING DAY!!!! They were supposed to arrive at 8 am, at 9 am I spoke to the owner who was rather curt and said his driver had a family emergency he was getting a new driver. I pressed for a timeline since I have people waiting for the mover at the house and he said within the hour. 2 hours later no truck has arrived, they do NOT answer the phone, multiple calls & messages ZERO returned calls. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!

Just wanted to let you know what an incredible job they did on my move on 8/30/19. The lead guy was very nice and professional, and the other two were very nice and professional. I would highly recommend this company for all your moving needs.

Anchor Moving moved my things when I bought a house. They were great! Careful with everything...friendly and polite. Definitely would recommend them to anyone and have.

I used Anchor Moving for my in-town move and they were great. Kendrick, George and Carlos were professional, kind, helpful and efficient. From the first signature to the last, it took three hours (I moved from a one-story with basement/garage into a ranch and they assembled bunk beds!) They moved quickly and we even coordinated a Goodwill drop in the middle. The price was super affordable. Would highly recommend!

Horrible experience. Only 2 of the 3 scheduled movers arrived on time. The lead mover was very professional but the second and eventual third mover were very slow and less professional. The truck was not packed correctly causing a second trip to be necessary. The truck was larger than the one we used to put our items in storage, but they couldn't fit all of our items on the truck. One of the movers smelled strongly of illegal drugs after the first pick up and caused damage to one of our items. In speaking with the owner/ manager, he verbally threatened us when we refused to pay in full until the repairs were completed. The repairs were scheduled and then the owner cancelled the work because we would not pay the balance until the work was completed. Do yourself a favor and never use these movers. They are slow and unprofessional and the owner is verbally abusive.

I've used Anchor Moving for a few moves as well as referred them to friends and family. I do recommend requesting James to assist with your move. He's a natural leader of the group and was extremely professional in handling my items. I'm grateful for how easy Anchor help make my transition into my new place.
