I visit the downtown post office here in St. Joseph Mo once a month. Never ever have I experienced anything but excellent service. I don't review often but after reading so many negative reviews, I had to chime in. I'm not from St Joseph but from Kansas City. I've lived here for 24 yrs. You have no idea how personal your service is compared to a large city.

Just received my delivery (6/4/2024) inside a nice clear plastic usps bag saying we sincerely regret the damage to your mail.... Package wasn't damaged- the package was opened, then the inside package was opened, my small item removed (but they left my receipt), the inside package was carefully placed back in the outer package and then neatly placed inside the 'sorry' bag. Live on gravel road on edge of town. Can't call because they don't answer the phone. Very frustrated. Hopefully usps will quickly just fade away and some private competent firm can take over. Can't select zero stars so picked one star (but it's really zero)

If I could give it negative stars I would. Worst place EVER. the supervisors are bullies that enjoy being a bully. They had to stop my mail im November cus I was in and out of the hospital. I was not upset over that. I understand that, what I am upset about is by end of December when I am finally staying out of hospital I went to the post office to try and restart my mail. Almost 3 months later and still can’t get my mail. Every time I go in they just become more and more aggressive and yes I am beyond frustrated at this point. STILL CANT GET MY MAIL. HAD TO CALL and file a complaint. Which that post office refused to give me the info. What are you suppose to do when post office just says oh well and bullies you. Jodie the supervisor needs to be FIRED. And needs to learn how to hv customer service. Can not believe her and Lana are supervisors.

this post office is the worst they been return to sender my mail and been messing with my mail for 3 months now with no resolution I will be contacting the postmaster

Was left a notice saying I wasnt home to sign. My entire family was home. I saw him at the mailbox and waited by my open door so I could sign. He LITERALLY looked at me, didn't get out of his truck, and put the notice in my mailbox that I wasnt there to sign it. I took a few hours off work so I would be home to sign it, and now I get to take MORE hours off tomorrow, and hope he decides to actually let me sign for it. Ive waited over a month for this and shipped it internationally.

What is there to say, it is the post office. Big imposing building, people and trucks doing mail and packages. The staff are friendly and helpful

Had appointments to obtain passports, and could not be more pleased with the whole process. Virginia (?) was extremely nice and helpful! She really made it both easy and quick.
