So my gf drives in at the gas station around 9:40pm or so to get gas. The gas station attended was outside talking to someone in a car. When my gf walks in to get gas the first thing the attendant said w/ an attitude “you’re pushing it girl” so my gf said “excuse me”. The attendant tells her that she’s about to close. So my gf ask “what time the gas station close” and the attendant replies “10” so my gf then said “oh well I have 20 minutes”. Here’s the kicker the attendant then said “well I was going to close early since I been here since 10am”. This is just a heads up of how rude unprofessional and out of pocket whatever worker was working September 14 closing shift. Please make sure she gets and adequate amount of hours so she is happy to do her job. I would hate for her to have to close when the store hours says close or interrupt a conversation with whoever she was talking to in the car. Btw don’t believe me run those cameras back.

Girl working was talking to her friend on the store phone as she was ringing up sales. Very unprofessional and definitely rude business. Customer service should be #1 1310 Riverside/AC

My power was out and I needed a cup of coffee really bad! They had a great coffee and I was extremely pleased. The customer service was outstanding!

It had been a while since I was here, last time was when it was still El Taco H. This time had the street tacos but the meat was cut in teeny little cubes and very dry, no flavor. If you didn't have them put the onions on it and load it with salsa it would be extremely bland. I do like the guacamole sauce which they didn't have when it was El Taco H, but none of the salsas have any heat to them. Prices are low, but for the quality and size they should be. The restaurant says it is unclaimed on yelp so I am sure they don't read these reviews so probably nothing will change. I would recommend Sotelo's - much better.

A wonderful mix of Mexican and Venezuelan food the staff is very friendly and polite and the food has just the right spice to it.

Not happy with the time rate at all man! I come up here all the way from Mulberry Street and these people aren't open yet. People come here every morning to get vital things before they go to work. The time schedule to be open is six am not six thirty am or seven am. Tbh this is bad on your business if you're not going to have your doors open at a certain time then you need to leave a note or letter on the door stating otherwise. I have not had sleep last night and I'm still waiting on you people to open the door and other people had already left! So where are you people at seriously? Open up on time and not whenever you people want to open the doors. This is a definite bad rating and a bad a bad review.

Stopped here because of the high rating. Street tacos tasted great! Smaller portions than what we're used to but worth the money. I would eat there again if passing through St. Joseph.

This is my favorite restaurant ever. Maria's is the new name I believe. It's great food and great service!!! A lot of people give this joint a bad reputation, but it's mostly due to their lack of knowledge around culinary practices of different areas. A lot of reviews also complain about the portions, which is ridiculous! They are modest on the street tacos, but that's normal. Taco Bell isn't the standard for taco sizes. I think that this is a VERY authentic Hispanic restaurant. I've traveled outside the US MANY times and can say with 100% certainty that this place is great! The staff is also very friendly and talkative. I've never had an issue with anyone who works there. They are all VERY friendly. My boyfriend and I go there often and are greeted kindly. (We've kinda become regulars). Maria and her husband are great people and this restaurant is amazing. I hope you'll consider going. Also. Prices are super cheap (especially since the quality is so high)! I've gotten a pollo burritos, 4 steak street tacos, 2 drinks (the ones from Mexico that are in glass bottles), and a steak burrito all for under $20! And we were full for the entire day! (We ate at 12-1ish and didn't need to eat until 7-8ish, which is incredible because my boyfriend eats like he's got 3 stomachs)!
